This is really sad to hear.

Simi Valley's Fourth of July fireworks show at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park was explosive — literally!
28 people were reported injured two minutes into the Southern California town's traditional display after fireworks exploded and shot into the crowd of about 10,000.
Instead of blasting sky high, the pyrotechnics landed and detonated on the ground with sparks bursting at spectators.
What a nightmare!
One attendee remembered:
"There was a big boom. Everybody started running down the street. People were screaming. Everybody was just terrified. People hid in bushes."
Fortunately, the neighborhood event was swarming with police, park rangers, and firefighters who could immediately tend to those who had been burned.
We're just happy no one got seriously hurt during what is supposed to be a happy, family affair!
No foul play was indicated according to police investigator, but we're praying that those responsible learned that such a dangerous accident is NOT an option ever again.
