However, her love life before him was a little more difficult because she hadn't quite yet come to terms with some major moments in her life.
"Oh, I'm sure I punished many boys for my lack of a father figure. And I'm sure I dated many men who were much older than the men I should have been dating. But at the end of the day, I'm not bitter. I love men. I want a family myself. I'm not angry with him anymore."
And clearly, now that she's going seven years strong with Joshua, she's figured out the key to a good relationship.
"All relationships are hard. It doesn't matter what job you have, or how famous or miserable or poor you are. It's about commitment … The hard part is the timing. When you meet someone, are you ready to make them your number one priority? There's never going to be a role more interesting than my own life. I'm grateful that I met a person who feels the same not just about me, but also about our relationship."
