When we heard that Jurassic Park 4 was going to be made, we only had one thing to say to Steven Spielberg: "Shooooot heeer!"
Now, what's even more exciting is that the newest installation of the InGen-ious franchise will NOT be a clone of the first one!
With every successful film series ever made seeming to get a reboot these days - Superman, Spider-Man, even talks of Batman - it's nice to hear that they'll be preserving the prestige of the first film
in amber by not remaking it.
Like, can you imagine if R-Patz played Ian Malcolm, or Daniel Day-Lewis played a raptor? No thanks!
Meanwhile, the director of Jurassic Park 4, Colin Trevorrow, says it's been incredible working with Steven Spielberg, and went on to say this about the upcoming film:
"We are very aware of how much a certain generation especially cares about this movie and we talk about it all the time and really the conversation is - it's not about us, it's not about our careers, it's how do we make something that can stand with the first one."
Good thinking Colin!
Apparently, Jurassic Park 4 will be set on the original Isla Nublar and feature underwater dinos! Oooh, maybe even Jaws can make a cameo?!
In the meantime, when are we going to see a trailer for this Steven?! Seriously, did we not say the magic word? We guess we'll just have to be patient and trust that life…will find a way.
