Robin Thicke Thinks Blurred Lines Rape Comparisons Are 'Ridiculous'! He Explains What The Lyrics REALLY Mean!

Robin Thicke has the #1 song in America!

But Blurred Lines is getting more than just radio plays and downloads - it has a lot of people wondering just what this song is about! And some are even saying the lyrics suggest rape!

Now Robin is setting the record STRAIGHT, calling those allegations 'ridiculous'. Mr. Thicke explained what the lyrics of his hit song are REALLY about:

"It was about blurring the lines between men and women and how much we're the same. My wife is as strong as I am, as smart, if not smarter, stronger and she's an animal too! She doesn't need a man to define her or to define her existence."

Robin also says the song is about how even good girls have a naughty side to them.

Mr. Thicke sure did surround himself with some naughty and NAKED girls for the Blurred Lines music video. But he also insisted that they shoot a second version where the ladies all kept their clothes ON!

When it came time to decide whether or not to release the X-rated vid, one person made the call - his wife, Paula Patton! Robin admitted:

"My initial response actually was that I loved the clothed version! I didn't think we should put out the naked version. And then I showed it to my wife and all of her girlfriends and they said 'You have to put this out! This is so sexy and so cool'"

Paula knows that there ain't nothing wrong with seeing some nekkid ladies!

How crazy sexy cool is this couple???

If it is about how men and women are the same, then how come it is only the women who are naked?

It's such a fucking horrible song.

So he hangs the 'approval' on his wife and friends while they all hope the gratuitous sexuality (of only the selling objects, the women…because if the men were so into 'strength', they'd be their buck naked swinging their dingaling around too) boosts the numbers and therefore the sales?

why didn't anyone mention how grotesque the women in the video are? they are all unattractive aside from the black woman, the color white washed them out.

The thing is, Peres like Perez, would just love that, equal opportunities perversions, male AND female, and you are just making a case for it. It is time to face the fact that the adult entertainment industry has impacted everyone's sexuality from toddlers and tiaras on up. What we NEED is a movement not to accept any of it any longer, not to have boys do it too. Heterosexuality and homosexuality. We let them cross the lines with females, and soon we will be doing it with our little boys. It's already begun. Our children are inheriting a sexually dysfunctional world where they are not safe.

I watch how it's changed and recognize that what is now the style will change and change again. We now take poor girls from poverty stricken countries where they will be prostituted out until they are old. About 25 should do it. They don't speak the language, they have to pay their handlers, they make hardly anything. Because its cheaper to deport them, when they are done with them they are arrested and sent home. Where, no decent man wants them. The u.n. is intimidated all nations to whore their women. When you see filth like this, it is mind control. You say, oh this is not so bag, that's not so bad, abpnd soon you accept anything.

Re: Barbara – However, one line in the song states "You're the hottest bitch in this place" so that kind of throws your theory out.

I'm with Robin's wife & girlfriends! The song is hot & fun, both videos are hot & fun! It's great adult entertainment! It's not a moral statement or a school video & it's rated "explicit" for a reason! It's not the entertainment indestries job to "protect" minors (other than with ratings), it's their parents job. Now go be a good parent and enjoy the video w/out your kids!

It is quite a salacious video. I wonder if its true that Robin Thicke has a…….? What is really disappointing is how he totally ripped off Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give It Up" without giving him writer's credit. From what I understand, he is paying royalties, but, anyone who knows that Marvin Gaye smash, all he and Pharrell did was slowed down the tempo and changed the lyrics. Shame on you Robin….and I'm a fan of Robin's.

    He's a pig

I hope they continue to ban the horrible video of Thicke's. It sucks and he sucks.

diss the song all you like doesnt change the fact that its a hit and more people like than people who don't. never associated it with rape. that is ridiculous. he is basically saying I can tell by your movement and body language towards me that you are feeling how I'm feeling and you want to take it there, but you are a good girl so you are holding back.

"popped a molly in her champagne she ain't even know it. took her home and enjoyed that she ain't even know it." those are lyrics promoting rape. can't stand rick ross fat ass.

What is wrong with people taking everything so seriously? Give me a break! I am a strong, secure woman. They are a strong, loving couple. He is one fine man and it is one kick ass, fun song. Everyone grow up and find something real to bitch about like world hunger or poverty or the Syrian civil war. What the hell is wrong with you people?
