Leah Remini Calling It Quits With Scientology???

The Church of Scientology has had no shortage of famous followers throughout the years, including Tom Cruise and John Travolta. But after some three decades as a member of the church, Leah Remini has had ENOUGH with some of the controversial practices being carried out in the religion!

A rift between Remini and Church leader David Miscavige is reportedly the reason the actress is now turning her back on Scientology. She disagrees with Miscavige's and the Church's policy of excommunicating former Scientology members, forbidding family members from ever speaking to their loved ones once they've left the religion!

Leah doesn't think any religion, no matter how powerful, has the right to tear apart a family. And we couldn't agree more!

While Leah is not publicly denouncing Scientology, she did recently tweet out a quote from renowned psychiatrist Viktor Frankl:

"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. "

Leah's choice in quoting the positive message of a psychiatrist is especially interesting, given Scientology's well-known desire to abolish psychiatry!

We sincerely hope wherever Leah's faith takes her, that she finds inner peace and happiness. Because really, isn't that what living life is ALL about?!?

I love it when people expose this ridiculous “church” of Scientology. It’s sad that she spent so much money on such a frivolous cause. I’m amazed at the number of fairly intelligent celebs that fall for this silly nonsense. You’d think there’d be more of a public outcry for this “church” to become more transparent. People freak out about the Catholic Church (as they rightly should) but give this bozo “church” a pass. Who knows what’s going on. Katie Holmes got out before her kid could be affected but she keeps quiet about it all. I’d like to know what the real deal is with that nut house..

Leah is still sucking turds out of L Ron Hubbard's ass. The only difference is, she's not paying money to David Miscavige for that privilege.

That is funny. Scientology is the same as Jehovah's Witnesses. They do the same thing. Really sad in my opinion coming from being a former Witness.

Kudo's Leah for standing up to them by asking questions. Keep up the good work.

Leah thinks for herself. Kudos. Cruise won't, because being a church poobah fluffs his ego.

…even when it's almost ruined his reputation, and I like Cruise otherwise, along with his work. He would have made it regardless. It wasn't them. It was him, and his charisma.

I agree with Leah…..no religion has the right to tear apart a family! My family has been torn apart by Scientology. I have been disconnected from my two adult children since Feb, 2011 and it is heartbreaking.
