Can anyone say star-crossed seXXXy?!

Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad are heating up Broadway with their revival of the Shakespearian standard, Romeo and Juliet!

The Lord of the Rings star and two-time Tony nominated actress are serving us with an interracial take on the classic tale for the first Broadway production in 36 years!

And the pic (above) is a seductive preview for what's to come!

Oh la LOVE!

Rashad reveals:

“We’re using all the classical text, but it’s not necessarily in a classical setting. The setting is still kind of being talked about, but it is contemporary. Not jeans-and-shorts contemporary, but more of an extraction.”

We can't wait to see this ishh modernized for the stage!

Romeo and Juliet begins previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on August 24!

  1. 1

    I love interracial couples.

  2. 2

I don't, not in Hollywood. I myself am in an inter-racial marriage, but they just don't seem to come off realistically in film.

  3. 3

Is there a version who doesn't do verbatim shakespear but modern poetry style?

Sorry, but there is nothing hot or that special about Orlando Bloom. He's not ugly, like Amanda Bynes would say, but jus kind of meh…..

I really thought that this was going to be a film and not straight theatre piece?
The best production of Romeo & Juliet in my book was Zifferelli's 1969 film with
Lenoard Whiting & Olivia Hussy. The actors were closer to the characters age
than in other films and I really don't like when they try to "Contemporlize" the
story to modern times~ only story that I really loved is "West Side Story"

Supposedly Stellen Skarsgard is going to be playing Prince Eclaus???
