glee season 5 premiere postponed cory monteith

Gleeks, while you continue to mourn the loss of beloved Cory Monteith, the powers that be are in the midst of discussing the future of Glee and what the show will look like without its Finn Hudson.

Sources are reporting that it seems very likely that the show will not return to the air until November.

While Fox execs met yesterday to begin discussions regarding the show’s fifth season, a source revealed that the production’s September 19th premiere date might be pushed back about a month “to let everyone breathe.”

We’re assuming major rewrites will have to take place, especially given the fact that Finn was meant to be heavily featured in the fifth season’s already-written first two episodes.

Though we’re nowhere near over the loss, we truly hope that whatever Fox officials ultimately decide is best for all those involved.

Makes sense, I hope they have time to heal. It's going to be heartbreaking to watch the cast/their characters say goodbye again on tv.

I don't know how Lea is going to do it. I can't see it. It's just too sad. :'(

This will be a season I want to see. I hope they do something nice to honor him on the show.

Maybe? But you don't know. Why don't you wait until they announce what they will do instead of speculating what's going to happen after your imaginary boyfriends tragic death. You must be suffering from sleep depravation using your pea brain to come up with ways to get likes on FB by exploiting a dead man.

I hope they will do an episode about drugs and how awful they are to many people now are dying so young kids need to learn now about the effect drugs have on them selves and others its so sad

I think it's a good idea , let these poor people have time to grieve . Give Fin a peaceful exit not involving anything awful and move on nicely . I would never want to see the cast have to relive such a loss

They should make the whole first episode back remembering Cory. If they act like he moved away or is out of town it would be horrible. I feel really bad for Lea, I have no idea how she could go on with the show without him. Lea will probably ask to be written off the show for most of the season. Glee fans will always feel something missing in the cast and so will the people on the set. I don't think Glee will ever be the same. I feel they will end the show after the two year contract is over. I pray for his family and friends. R.I.P. Cory Monteith <3

The best season 5 should be of only 1 super special episode to remember Cory. Delected scenes, backstage filmings, what we all just wanna to see is a goofy Cory in all his joy. I know that they recorded he singing "Not the End" for the Goodbye episode, no better music to finish it all. And then, for more that hurts, just cancel Glee, cause no way is gonna be possible to see normal plots without Finn. ;(

They need to have Fin's character die from heroin and alcohol abuse! Glee has shown other topics such as gays and lesbians so why not this addiction that is crippling America!

I think they should use the Death of Corey to talk about drug problems with kids and stay as close to the true life tragedy as they can when they tell the story. The opening of season 5 whether delayed or not…I hope not, but either way should be all about how Corey has been found dead of a drug and Alcohol overdose. I think they should have a funeral the hold sad nice yards ….talk about the loss the whole stupidity of it all to lose such a great person and friend to drugs. Glee should TELL THE TRUTH…KEEP IT REAL!!!!

I still can't understand why most of the cast is so silent - especially Chris Colfer - no statements from most - rather disrespectful if you ask me
