Bullshit….im tired of hearing excuses that celebs have relapses was caused by his or hers not coping with all the glitter of hollywood fame! its more like hes an addict and needed more time in rehab. bottom line is…people with substance problems really have "the Want" to really quit….

Fame did not cause this at all. He was an addict most of his life….which is so sad. Once an addict always an addict. He needed help and in situations like these, unless and until the addict wants to stay clean, its not going to happen. I hope he finds peace…RIP.

He has my respect for his honesty about his addiction. He never hide it and probably helped someone. I wish he had a different life.

I know that he did struggle with his fame and felt like he was undeserving of it. He expressed this to me when I met him. Although, I agree with everyone else. His fame did not cause his addiction.

He's another victim of the treatment industry. The 'cure' for drug addiction requires that you first admit you are powerless over drugs. Then, you have to choose a god and pray to it to remove the cravings to use again. Only problem is, this process can take years (generally through middle age), and in the mean time you are powerless to the cravings which can strike at any time.

AA/NA and the 12 Step programs can take credit for another victim. They don't cure addiction. For a suggestible person like an actor, they actually create it, and it can be deadly.
