Amanda Bynes' Severe Mental Illness Includes 'Schizophrenic Tendencies'!!! Get The Sad Deets HERE!

| Filed under: DrugsSad SadAmanda BynesHealthMental HealthScary!

amanda bynes severe mental illness schizophrenic tendencies doctors observation restrained drug tests

Doctors are apparently already learning a lot during Amanda Bynes' psychiatric hold, but sadly the news isn't all good!

The struggling starlet was under observation all day yesterday, and docs allegedly already determined that she's suffering from a SEVERE mental illness "with schizophrenic tendencies"!!!

Oh no!! Witnesses speculated about the degrading state of her mental health for months, but this is so sad!

Apparently Amanda was lucid for about 10 hours yesterday, during which she was calm and sweet, but after that her personality took a turn for the worse! According to reports, she got totes frustrated and even "shut down."

At one point, she allegedly was so out of control that she needed to be physically restrained!!! They even separated her from her roommate because she was insulting her so badly!

So far, drug tests have apparently come back negative for everything but marijuana!

Ugh! We sincerely hope she will be OK!

Stay tuned for more information

Remember when Britney was going through something similar? And all Perez would say is that she needs to die and stop acting crazy. He's either being a fake hypocrite now or was just looking for the negative attention back then. But either way so not cool Perez.

C'mon Mario we know you have no consious. So get on with the relentless bashing we all know is still coming. After all you are responsible for out her illness to the surface with your constant harassment just like you did to Britney.

I don't understand with all the "patient/doctor privacy acts", how does all her and other celebrities' personal information, get out and all over the Internet ?

  5. 5

Did you literally cut and paste this story from another site? Yes, I think you did.

  6. 6

Its obvious something is wrong. But who is feeding you alleged detail info perez? only a nurse would know? what happend to medical records are private?

  7. 7

I think this information is supposed to be private, and I'm fairly certain that Amanda and her family would probably want this information to STAY private unless they personally decided to speak about it themselves. IMO trying to share this kind of information with the public is WAAAY worse than someone mocking her selfies.

    8

Nice try at damage control, Perez. You should be ashamed of what you said to and about Amanda Bynes. Anyone who acted out the way she did was obviously going through something. You made a joke out of her and her condition. Not cool.

  9. Mkay says – reply to this

    9

Whoever released this information is guilty of violating her rights in every way. Just because she is a celebrity does not mean she should not be granted the same rights as every other citizen of this country. It is disgusting that any mental health professional would release such information and it is even more disgusting that you are repeating it. Perez, you should be ashamed of yourself. Just because you aren't calling her names does not mean you are not doing damage. Reality check.

You like all of the other blogs were exploiting her.She was and should have been treated as a human first and story second.Calling her "crazy" and all of the other derogatory remarks bloggers like you made only made matters worse for her.

soon nobody will take her insults seriously because word's going to globally get out that she's a psycho. why would anybody ever get their feelings hurt from amanda bynes anyway?

  16. Jeff says – reply to this

    16

I'm just curious, how does the media get a celebrities or anybodies medical records? That's one of those things you can't get from anyone, but the person or a guardian. No medical establishment is allowed to under privacy laws.

  17. 17

I THINK THIS IS A "BRITNEY STYLE PROMOTION". BRITNEY WENT CRAZY, SHAVED HER HEAD, AND THEN CAME BACK AND HAD A SOLD OUT TOUR. SO I GUESS AMANDA WILL SOON BE OK AND RELEASE AN ALBUM

  18. Purplegenie says – reply to this

    18

Re: Mr. Xpose – She came back "okay" because she got treatment and medication, dumb-ass. "Mental illness" does not mean "crazy forever." Mental illness can be successfully treated. Stupidity cannot, so you're fucked.

You are a hypocrite of the highest degree. You made fun of this poor girl and others like her to get people to your site. You should be ashamed coming back with this bullshit now like you are innocent and feeling bad for her.

  20. csi says – reply to this

    20

Funny, all the people bashing Perez are the same ones clicking on this site reading up all about her mental illness. Pot meet kettle. BTW, all the people calling her Queen and egging her on are no better. Everyone knew she was sick and should've been ignoring her, yet her little tween army were feeding into all this 'ugly' talk, praising her, practically worshipping her. Everyone played a part in this so blaming a gossip site or in this case every media outlet in America is ridiculous. Grow up, and if you hate Perez and gossip so bad stop coming to HIS site??????

  21. 21

Mario is, and always will be, pathetic. And he will be because of his hatred for people stemming from childhood.

  22. 22

Why suddenly ”hope she will be ok” after all of that hate on you blog? She is out of her mind..

  23. 23

I have to agree, any of sort of diagnosis and personal details should be private. Which is why it leads me to believe any of this is just that, speculation from people just wanting to cash in on the media circus. Shame on any medical professionals peaking out, they know better. This girl needs help, and as far away from media as possible at that.

  24. ms trudy says – reply to this

    24

My guess is that she has more going on than just schizophrenia. In any case now she has been diagnosed, she can be treated. One problem with schizophrenics is many of them stop taking their meds when they start feeling better, and the cycle starts all over. unfortunately she won't be working again anytime soon.good luck to her, it's an awful disease.

Schizophrenic tendencies usually occur when someone is smoking too much pot. A lot of people are ignorant to the fact that it can be addictive and side effects produce paranoid schizophrenic like symptoms in people who abuse it

  29. CB says – reply to this

    29

Why are you updating the whole world with GOSSIP about somebody else's health problems? Judging by the amount of time you leave it between each story id say you were excited to get some attention by reporting what you 'HEARD' about this helpless lady! You say you wish her well but your words are contradicting your actions! Writing all these fake stories about somebody else's struggles is godless shame on you

  30. 30

I've been saying this the whole time. A lot of the reports about her "weird" actions sounded almost spot on with someone I knew with schizophrenia. I thought it was so obvious, and it seemed wrong to make fun of her. And when I personally emailed Perez, he linked an article how it's likely due to drug use. Which it's likely that she did do drugs but he doesn't know when that started. A lot of people suffering from schizophrenia start doing drugs because they are trying to self medicate.

"just marijuana" can cause psychotic symptoms in people who are prone to mental health issues. Marijuana use before age 14 causes a 200% increase in likelihood of developing a psychotic illness. She likely has cannabis-induced psychosis or schizoaffective disorder, which is similar to a combination of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

cannibus induced psychosis. A very close friend of mine had it. People do go to rehab for pot. its a mood altering substance. When you abuse it it is not good for you. Like pretty much anything, In moderation it is ok. It will make you hungry sleepy and happy and some cases it is good for medicinal purposes.

  43. Purplegenie says – reply to this

    43

Just as an FYI, this is not a patient confidentiality issue the same as if she were in a hospital. She was on a 5150 hold. This is a form of arrest. The police are obliged to make statements about the detainee in quesiton, just as they had to make public statements about, say, the joker shooter, or Zimmerman. Certainly, Amanda Bynes is not in the class, but we were (by law) given information about the sanity of those individuals, among other reports. Law enforcement is REQUIRED to do so. If she is ordered to a mental facility against her wishes, still, the public has a right to know. It's just the rules. She's not in a hospital, she's essentially in jail, and this 5150 will go on her record. Not fair, maybe, but that's the story on that.

  44. Purplegenie says – reply to this

    44

Re: kiwifink – I have a pretty serious mental illness, so I know what I am talking about regarding the mj issue (I don't have schizophrenia, but it's in that ballpark). Pot can very certainly cause a psychotic break, but there are no known cases of this happening if the person in question doesn't have an illness that the pot triggers reaction — specifically, bipolar, schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder. It's the nature of the illness when you mix it with pot, and it is only the trigger, or makes existing episodes even worse. Otherwise, pot is completely safe, safer than alcohol, and we all know that, don't we? Amanda Bynes is ill, and it's not because of pot. People have to make it so ill people "brought it on themselves," Don't blame them, don't blame pot, the blame doesn't belong on either. It's an ILLNESS.

Re: Purplegenie – I agree with you up to a point, but the police left her at the hospital and were not likely to be advised of her prelim diagnosis (or care). EMTs could also have released this with the same caveats about the diagnosis.

  47. 47

Re: Purplegenie – I certainly don't blame her lol. addiction is a disease. and I know it first hand. I don't know what she has I am not psychic. but it is in the DSM and I know a person who was addicted to pot was diagnosed schizophrenic is now two years sober and is completely free of any schizophrenic tendencies since he quit. I know pot is "safer" than alcohol. but it is still addictive and still can cause harm to your body when you abuse it. like I said it is the same with anything that is mind altering. there are withdrawal symptoms just like alcohol. Is ten times worse for your lungs than smoking. Everything is kosher in moderation. I am not anti-pot. Just pro education. and I am not saying I know it all. Just from personal experience

  50. 50

Re: kiwi – what the hell kind of pot are you smoking? I know many people who smoke pot and also smoke pot myself, and have never seen anyone have schizophrenic tendencies because of it. It's not that kind of drug.

    51

Re: Cassidy – Uh, there's no study, even in theory, that could POSSIBLY quantify the 14 year old pot use thing. Wow, such misinformation. Pot is not a great mix with the big three illnesses (bipolar, schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder). But the truth is, LIFE is often not a great mix with those illnesses (I have one of the big three). But just pot, per se, is harmless. Come on, we all know that. It's less harmful than alcohol. Or cigarettes. Or self-righteousness.

  52. Purplegenie says – reply to this

    52

Re: teeter totter – From the moment the police charged her with the 5150 hold, here condition, developments, etc became a matter of public record, even as the case progressed. It's maybe not fair, but it's true for anyone with a 5150 situation. It's just that the world only cares when it's Amanda or Brittney, or the like. It's an exploitation of her, but maybe this will help promote awareness of this issue as something someone can't help, and I'm hoping to see a shiny and new Amanda in a year or so ready to tell us she got help, and she's back. But it sucks she has to be a poster child without her consent. As for the reporting by the widespread media, taste and ethics should have been in order rather than what is legal for them to know, but that's just me.

Re: Clark – Totally agree with you Clark. She sued him so he's bitter, but in light of her mental illness, he needs to show his better side. For what it's worth, I ran into Amanda in Nolita. She was, without a doubt, schizophrenic (talking to herself, in her own little world) but so are a lot of artists (Cat Power, Jean Michel Basquiat….the list is long). I think it's time to step up and be 'big' Mr. Perez. This girl's in trouble.

  54. Purplegenie says – reply to this

    54

Re: kiwifink – Wow. To quote silent bob, the amount you DON'T know about this I could just about squeeze into the fucking grand canyon. I've lived a disorder in the DSM. You know nothing about it. You're just a Anti-pot for Christ chump. The DVM certainly states that any psychotropic drugs at all are contraindicated for illnesses with a potential for psychosis. That doesn't speak to pot itself. People with ulcers shouldn't drink. That doesn't mean I can't have a gin and tonic.

Also, I think you'll find that the newest DSM (v) has a revised stance towards marijuana in general, as opposed to the DSM (iv) which is more common as a source for idiots to draw their crackpot theories.

I know lots and lots of people who have a severe addiction to pot who have sought treatment. Everything in moderation is kosher. Anything mood altering is addictive heck gambling is addictive shopping eating….anything in abuse can cause harm. And I think it is funny that you dismiss the same DSM your psychiatrist probably diagnosed your mental illness from so that doesn't make sense. Your personal experience is just as valid as mine. Nobody uses the term 'schizophrenic' who works in Mental Health. Maybe symptoms of psychotic type illness, or features of schizophrenia, but not schizophrenic. Way to go and try and label someone. She is obviously unwell and Perez you should not be placing such labels on people in this way. Im pretty sure you would not like to be labeled. Really unfortunate.

  63. 63

See Perez capitalize on the mental illness of Amanda Bynes HERE! Real friends don't profit from the misfortunes of pals, Mario, but the truth is that you're a friend to no one. For those of you who wonder about how Amanda Bynes got to this state - google "The link between Marijuana and Schizophrenia". TIME magazine did an excellent article about the link - for instance - just trying pot once increases the likelihood of developing schizophrenia by 40%. And over half of schizophrenics were major pot users in their youth. Genetics plays about 50% of whether or not you get this horrible disease - but if you smoke pot - I suggest you read that TIME article. No one talks about it - but study after study has proven it. And we all know Amanda is a BIG pot user. Poor thing, her life is ruined now. There is no cure for schizophrenia - only meds that have horrible side effects and they only control some of the symptoms. God bless her soul. She's done.
