Shailene Woodley was spectacular last night on The Daily Show talking about The Spectacular Now!
Interviewed by the properly HIGHlarious John Oliver, Shailene talked about how tough "coming of age" can be for some teens. She explained
"I went to a public American High School, and I think it could've been awful if I didn't have my choir buddies."
Aw, everyone needs to gleek out a little bit! And geek out too!
When asked which Star Wars character gave her the creepiest hug at Comic-Con, Shailene admitted to actually being a huge fan of the franchise:
"When R2D2 came out of the elevator, I got ridiculously stoked."
Beep boop beep! (R2 translation: "Who doesn't love R2?! But seriously, Storm Troopers probably don't.")
Here's a thought though! Wouldn't Shailene be awesome in the next Star Wars movie? Can you field that one, JJ?!
Well, we suppose right now she's gearing up for another blockbuster, Divergent!
When questioned if she thought being in a large scale movie such as Divergent would make her become a jerk, Shailene coolly replied:
"Lucky for me I have enough friends who would make me black and blue before I became an asshole."
Beating you up when you get too cocky?
Uh, that's what friends are for, right?
