Stan Lee Reacts To Andrew Garfield's Suggestion That Spider-Man Swings (From His Web) Both Ways!

Andrew Garfield recently suggested that Spider-Man might like shooting his web over girls AND guys. But one person who hadn't heard that comment yet? The creator of Spider-Man, Stan Lee.

At a recent audience question and answer session at Fandomfest, Stan was asked what he thought about this…for the first time! We're pretty sure he misheard the question because this is how he responded:

“Oh, I think Andy Garfield is great as Spider-Man, absolutely great. In fact, I would have picked him for the first Spider-Man movie if he had volunteered.”

Not exactly the question at hand…

At that point, the guy to his right, who was helping him field the queries, leaned in, and told him what the fan actually asked. His caught off-guard response was pretty priceless:

“He’s becoming bisexual? Really? Who have you been talking to? I don’t know. Seriously I don’t know anything about that. And if it’s true, I’m going to make a couple of phone calls. I figure one sex is enough for anybody.”

Really? One sex is enough for anybody? Stan, don't knock it if you haven't tried it!

Hasn't he heard the old Woody Allen joke that "sex is a beautiful thing between two people," but "between five it's fantastic?"

Maybe he'll change his mind and Spider-Man can be renamed to Peter Park-her-or-him!

Ch-ch-check out Stan's HIGHlarious reaction to Andrew's idea for Spider-Man's bi-seksiness…AFTER THE JUMP!

I hope Andrew was joking about making him Bi coz thats just utterly ridiculous and totally not needed. these are superhero action films not Indie films! They dont need to be exploring sexuality this is comic book stuff and should stay that way. Actors should stick to acting and leave the writing to the writers :/

Give Stan a break - he's 90 and grew up in a different time.

Not every movie or tv show has to have a gay person geez.

    Re: Mama
    That´s completely right!!!!!
Now, every movie has to have some gay character, otherwise it's prejudgement.
If some writer don´t wanna to put a gay or bissexual in his story, he´s being also judgmental.
There´s place and time for everything.
Hero movies, should stick with the original storyline.
Like, there is no place for a gay character in spiderman. But, there ir place for a gay or bissexual in Batman (Robin.)

It´s clearly a move made by Andrew, trying to make "history" in hollywood for playing the first gay hero.
a VERY STUPID MOVE if you ask me.
