Brave, what was she suppose to do? Homegirl was in a relationship with a drug addict, it's as ghetto as it gets. Whitney was a drug addict and every one made jokes, Cory was also a drug addict, drugs dont discriminate…but people here do.

Loving someone who is an addict does not mean they are ghetto or their relationship is qhetto drugs affect everyone know matter what the race or economic status…. and Whitney was a hot mess for a long time Cory know one saw coming we heard of the addiction in April with him going to rehab next we know he is gone big difference

"Never was there a more inspiring gal than she."… Really? Try getting to know widows. My husband died 5 months ago on the 26th of July (he is 29, i was 31)… Not of drugs (which I understand its an addiction) but he had cancer and he died of a heart attack (3 of them) and complete organ failure. I am now a single mom to a very hyper boy with SPD. I own my own photography studio and went back to work 2 weeks after. Why b/c I had rent and I had too. It hurts that everyone is writing about how brave she is. Yes She is and I think she is amazing for going back to work seeing what she does… But try raising a little boy that looks just like his daddy…. Never mind things I had to give up like his car…

I get it shes brave and I think she is an amazing person, but shes not the only in the world going through it.

Please stop treating her like she is a goddess. Many many people go through the same shit and nobody acknowledges that. She is just one of them, nothing special duh

@ashleigh all my respect and thoughts are with you!! Such a trooper!! My dad has cancer for the fourth time but he's doing well thank god!

6 years ago I lost my boyfriend to a drug overdose when I was only 21 years old. You never see it coming whether you know the situation or not. When I heard about Cory my first thought was for Lea because I have been there. She may not be a goddess but she did exactly what she needed to do. Its what I did. You have to pick things up and carry on. Anyone who has gone through the loss of a significant other should be commended on bravery. Its a hard ship to battle.

Would you stop with the "she's so brave" routine? All employers give bereavement leave and when a spouse dies, the max amount of time off is usually 5 days. She's had a few weeks off and she's getting back to work & life, just like EVERYONE does after someone dies.

Re: Ashleigh – I'm sorry for your loss Ashleigh. Keep strong & hang in there - your boy needs you now more than ever.

People can be so rude and disrespectful! I, as well as plenty others, have had to deal with dealt but they are saying she is brave because she deals with his death and his presence on a daily basis working on a show where Cory's character was always intertwined with Lea's. I wouldn't necessarily use the word brave to describe her situation but I think she is def a strong woman and not only looking out for herself but looking out for others on the show (cast/crew/etc)

Re: Ashleigh – Ashleigh, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband and soul mate of almost 33 years a bit over four years ago. The pain never goes away, but that awful tight band around your heart does after about a year. I wish you and your son the very best.

First I just have to say that yes "Lea Michele is Brave". All of you who commented underneath saying your life was worse, we all understand. However, being a celebrity and being watched all over the world has more impact than someone just working a 9-5 job. I'm pretty sure Lea Michelle worked her way to get where she is at. Now she is looked up to by millions of kids to aspire to be the next Lea Michele.
Nowadays lots of celebrities like Linsady Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Chris Brown, etc take advantage of "fame". When children watch these maniacs it is no wonder people tend to fall into a cycle of drugs or violence. So you know what it's great that Perez Hilton commends her because a few celebs use their name and reputation for power.

Re: imo – Guys yeah she's not the only one. But does people notice the other people have this situation? NO? Many people are cheering Lea to stay strong. Lea is an actress and she's popular. Let's just don't compare it to others. :)

Re: Ashleigh – My thoughts and prayers are with you Ashleigh and I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for Lea's loss too. I can relate to both of you. I too have lost the love of my life to very devastating circumstances. The fact that Lea is in the public eye gives her a different dynamic in the way that people have responded to her loss, sure, but there may be some girl out there going through the same situation as Lea right now and she is seeing how strong Lea is handling this whole thing and it may be inspiring her to be strong too.
