Seth Meyers Coming Back To SNL! Calls The Rebuilding Season 'An Exciting Time'!

When Saturday Night Live returns for its 39th season this Fall, there will be some MAJOR names missing from the opening roll call, including Jason Sudekis, Bill Hader and Fred Armisen.

Seth Meyers however WILL be back at his Weekend Update desk! The affianced funny man is set to return for the first half of the season, before taking the Late Night reigns from Jimmy Fallon.

Seth, who is also SNL's head writer, admits that the newer cast members have some big shoes to fill but believes they have what it takes to make themselves into household names. Seth recently stated:

"[It's] certainly a rebuilding effort, but I don't think it's any bigger than ones that have happened historically. It's a really exciting time to be at the show. I'm really glad I'm going back for the first-half of next year."

Seth is the hands down veteran of the returning cast - he now holds the record as the longest-tenured Weekend Update anchor in SNL history and is second to only Daryl Hammond in total seasons on the show!

But will his brief final stint be enough to keep the late night series fresh and funny???

Who do YOU think will be the next breakout star on Saturday Night???
