YES!

President Obama sat down with Jay Leno yesterday for a late night TV interview on The Tonight Show. And it might actually be one of the most interesting segments we’ve seen yet!

While the two discussed a myriad of topics, the TV host made sure to ask the commander-in-chief for his thoughts on Russia’s current anti-gay laws, to which the President responded PERFECTLY:

”I’ve been very clear that when it comes to universal rights, when it comes to peoples’ basic freedoms, whether you are discriminating on the basis of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, you are violating the basic morality that I think should transcend every country. I have no patience for countries that try to treat gays or lesbians or transgender persons in ways that intimidate them or are harmful to them.”

Ch-ch-check out President Obama’s complete response…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Bravo, Mr. President.

Common sense, have respect for others. Is that too hard to ask?

Kindness is free, how about including that with the common sense?

Notice how Obama doesn't hold up a bottle of Mario's vodka at the end of his statement? Mario likes to end his statements with a commercial because it's all about making money.

Re: LaughingOutLoud1 – OMG you got me dying with laughter with your comment. We're happy it's commercial free for now. Keep up the good work Mario :p

Universal rights, and basic freedom should never include FORCED choice,
like being forced to pay for ObamaCare, when I don't want it. don't need it
and know it will be another giant government disaster

That was a nice little political speech Mr. President. Now, what are you going to do about it? Not a damn thing. But yet all the dumbasses out there are eating this bullshit up. Obama couldn't give a rats ass about the Gays, for the most part, the Gay community is hard working, tax paying middle class to upper class tax payers, which is Obama's worst enemy. In other words, he hates you. Wake up America!!!

please, please, please let Obama go in person to Muslim countries and tell them what to do, PLEASE, PLease, Please obama go tell the muslims and putin what to do. Obama wants to run the world, let the WORLD tell him to go **** himself. Not every culture wants this prevertedness in their society and WE should RESPECT that.

Re: shaygirl1309 – I'm just glad people like you are slowly dying off. Since you refuse to evolve your fate can only be extinction. Pervertedness? Is that what your child molesting priest taught you? Based on a dusty 2000 year old translation of a translation… that's using your noodle!

"when it comes to peoples’ basic freedoms" Yeah right Obama, you mean like personal freedom and privacy (PRISM, domestic drone programs), due-process and innocent until proven guilty (drone strikes, Guantanamo Bay, rendition) or quality of life (Monsanto Protection Act, fracking, Keystone XL)? If you live in a glass house…

Re: Dubguy – Speaking of 'universal rights and people's basic freedoms,' 13 U.S. states have legalized gay marriage while 37 do not. Addressing one's own situation would lend more credibility. Incidents of violence are a deeper degree and concern, but happened in North America too when democracy was at an earlier stage. Russia will have to take regulatory action eventually, as harming others for adult sexual preference is wrong.

Go fix the economy and stop meddling in the affairs of other countries and spending so much time going on TV shows.
