Jim Carrey Gets Slammed By His Kick-Ass 2 Co-Star Chloe Moretz!

Woah! Looks like Chloe Moretz is just as tough off-camera as she is in front of it!

After reports that Jim Carrey was opting to NOT promote his new movie Kick-Ass 2 because he found the film to be too "violent", he had a lot of people wondering how in the hellz did he not know the sequel would involve some blood, guts and gruesome fighting scenes?

Again, the movie is called KICK-ASS!!!

Chloe is now calling out her co-star's stance on their movie with a HIGHlarious rant about what other films Jim should steer clear of! Chloe said:

"[Kick-Ass 2] is a movie. If you are going to believe and be affected by an action film, you shouldn't go to see 'Pocahontas' because you are going to think you are a Disney princess. If you are that easily swayed, you might see 'The Silence of the Lambs' and think you are a serial killer. It's a movie and it's fake, and I've known that since I was a kid. I don't want to run around trying to kill people and cuss. If anything, these movies teach you what not to do!"

Dayum, Hit-Girl! Your words pack a punch!

Chloe is right though! It's just a movie! And Jim let everyone involved with the flick down BIG time! He's Jim friggin' Carrey! He should be out talking about the movie he's in!

Kick-Ass 2 opens next weekend! Think they'll be able to beat up the box-office even without Jimmy C's help?

I bet Jim had absolutely no problem with the pay check he got for the "violent" movie he is not so fond of.

Re: ZoeBlue – when you do a job, you get payed for it. there are a ton of people who hate their job and sometimes even curse their jobs, is it fair for them not to get payed for their hard work? your view is so sensitive it hurts to read. while I don't approve of JC going against a movie he played a part in (against violence but he still acted in it?) he still deserves his paycheck since he put in the work for it.

Apparently it was not in Jim Carrey's contract to do promotion which is standard in Hollywood. Or maybe he decided not to honor his contract and do promotion for this movie. The 1st Kick Ass had Nicholas Cage and we didn't see him refuse to do promotion. Jim Carrey I believe still thinks he is the big box office draw he was YEARS ago and can call his own shots. Maybe years ago he could, but when was the last Jim Carrey blockbuster that made money at the box office?

Super ignorant post by a child. Great she knows whats what but tell that to the movie people who died because a fan took it too far… or the mass serial killers who lived vicariously through movies and get off on it.

Jim carrey IS a huge A lister. I think he made a mistake here. I think he didn't see the first film at all. but yes.. he is an A lister and at times he seems pretty darn smart

Jim Carrey is a HUGE Canadian liberal anti-American asshole. You can keep him and his pet detective.

Re: charliechaplin@ – "jim carrey is a huge A lister", yeah maybe back when he made ace ventura in what, 1994? what movies has he been in recently that makes him still relevant? sure, he was a huge comedic hit back in the early 90's but come on.. he isn't "above" this movie just because he starred in a couple hit movies in the freakin' 90's.

While I think how he's handling this is slightly hypocritical (I feel like he would have been better off to promote the movie he made, which is only fair to all the people behind the scenes that worked so hard…and after it came out and the buzz wore off, make a statement about no longer doing violent films), she's entirely wrong to say what she did. Because as sad as it is, Jim Carrey has a point. Yeah she's right that most of the population can separate movies from real life, and kno what is right and wrong. But there is that percentage that don't, there's more than one serial killer/spree killer that's bee influenced by a violent movie and when trying to discuss any solution to violence, popular culture needs to be looked at. Not saying at all that its what causes it, its ridiculous to blame movies when the issue is much more news media and mental health…but an actor isn't wrong to not want to feed into that culture. I respect him for that…just wish he handled it better.

Re: pdrocksmysocks – So are we supposed to stop making violent movies or promoting them because of the actions of a minority of mentally ill people? Umm no.

That's like the idiotic proposed ban on AR-15s. 90+ million gun owners, over 12+ million have an AR-15, which is the most popular rifle you can buy. TWO men out of 12+ million used one for bad, so let's take them away from 12 million and prevent 90+ million from buying one because the ACTIONS OF TWO PEOPLE in a country of 312 million. Seems legit, sorry but that simply is NOT rational or logical.
