Mel Gibson Not Expendable To The Expendables 3: Actor Is Confirmed For Cast!

| Filed under: Film FlickersMel Gibson

mel gibson

Mel Gibson has officially been hired for The Expendables 3, joining Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, and Arnold Schwarzenegger as they grasp on screen for their younger days as action movie heroes.

And we CAN'T WAIT!

Says Sly, who co-wrote the movie:

"He is a consummate actor and a gentleman."

As long as Gaby Hoffmann, minorities, and his baby mama aren’t around! LOLz!!!

Seems like Mel is more focused on work and less on anger these days, so we look forward to seeing more of the Mel we used to know and want still to love!

Congrats and good luck, MG!

I'm so glad. Mel is the best actor in Hollywood and the fact that he couldn't work was a shame for those of us who love his movies

Glad to see him working again, he is a very good actor although I like him better in comedy than drama. Sure don't make shows like Lethal Weapon anymore.

Mel is poison for any project he is on. The only way I would watch Expendables or any film he was in is if he was paid scale and they knock him out of the film within 2 minutes. Come on Sly please pull him out of the film

Read that Sly had really wanted Mel to direct. For some reason that didn't happen, but the director that signed on is Patrick Hughes, so it's all good. This way we get to see Mel act.

I agree with the other posters. I've been missing some Gibson movies. Lethal Weapon is at the top, but Braveheart, even the Beaver just all show what a great talent he is. He's so believable. Really want to see him working again. He's been punished enough.

Ditto what Kiki and others said. Mel has always had such a *believable* qualty to his performances. The guy may have problems - but he is an absolutely amazing talent IMO.
I really think its time to quit kicking the guy and give him a chance to do what he's good at. (coff coff - perez!) For example, the article above could have just said "yeah!".
It's sad we've lost his talent for so long.
