Jane Lynch Reveals How Cory Monteith's Death Has Affected The Glee Set As They Return To Work

We know it can't be easy, but the cast of Glee is being incredibly strong as they return to set without their former costar.

And it seems Cory Monteith's death has affected everyone involved in the show in a different way.

Jane Lynch recently opened up about what it's been like to be back at work after the tragic passing of the young star. Brave faces or not, Glee certainly can't be the same without him.

She said:

"Everybody's doing differently. You know, it's tough. Everybody had a relationship with him and we all express our grief in different ways so I'll only speak for myself. I love him and I honor [him], and every day I go to work, I walk by his trailer and I go, 'He should be in there.'"

We're so blown away with the strength all the cast members have shown during this difficult time.

And it seems they've been so strong in part because of each other. They truly have come together as family as Jane added:

"We had a nice memorial. The cast and the crew, we all got together and we remembered Cory and honored [him]. We went back to the work and the wheels turn in spite of what happened and I'm just glad we had that memorial so we were able to come together and be a family."

We're not sure if the tribute episode filming has begun, but we wish them all the best of luck in getting through the emotional moment.

We're sure Cory would be proud.

The show has been in a steady decline since the first season. There are so many cast members that it does not matter if he is in it or not. He was hardly in it last season anyway. I would be more upset if Heather Morris was written out. His death might be the best thing for the show this year in terms of it kept the show in the news for the past month and people might want to see how the tribute episode plays out.

I cant help but think that Perez is cheapening and exploiting his death by posting this every 5 minutes. Party people the 30year old man was a drug addict…not bambi.

Blah blah blah … Cory Monteith was a selfish druggie … blah blah blah … let's see how much more Perez can milk this tired OLD story … blah blah blah … Monteith did it to himself and life for the cast of that gay show will go on. Just shut the fuck up about this guy, homo. We know you're obsessed with this stupid show, but millions and millions and millions are NOT. Monteith is now worm food. Just leave it the fuck alone already.

While I agree the it seems like Perez goes back and forth with his support of Cory and the cast to basically being judgmental like everyone else, the comments that I see on these stories get more and more maddening.

    1. He was a recovering addict that apparently had a relapse. Yes, it is disappointing and hearbreaking for probably not only his fans but family and close friends as well.

    2. I am pretty sure that everyone commenting on here, in their anon names are not, have not been, and will never be perfect. The difference? You are not famous and your life scrutinized. Most of you will have major ass failures, but are not relevant enough for us to have the chance to comment on it.

    3. Cory was NOT "written out." He died. There's a difference.

    4. If the stories bother you so much? Why do you continue to read them and take the time out to make comments?
