Cory Monteith Melts Our Hearts As A Drug Addict In McCanick! See The Super Tragic Still HERE!

It was announced today McCanick, one of Cory Monteith's final films, will screen at the Toronto International Film Festival this September.

We're thrilled the movie found an audience, but the character he plays in it just breaks our heart (above)!

In it, the late Glee star is both a druggie and a hustler. Director Josh C. Waller says Cory even tapped into his own tempestuous past in order to nail the part.

The director revealed:

“The character he plays is this drug-addicted street hustler, and he was wanting to tap into things from his youth — which he’s been very open about publicly. I think he saw the role as an opportunity for catharsis.”

Ugh!!! We're still so broken up over the loss of such a bright young star; hopefully this McCanick does his justice.

The film premieres at TIFF on September 9th.

Perez get over yourself, this was a 30year old drug addict. Pls stop trying this romantic or glamorous. He was an actor not some hero…

This stupid and selfish guy was a drug addict who happen to get lucky and land a role on a tv show that happen to be some what of a hit. All this despite his limited talents. He was not a good guy. Like all addicts he was greedy and a liar. McCanick is probably a horrible film and only getting attention because of he died.

Let the man rest in peace. He's gone and truthfully, he's probably in a better place than we are in this world. It is so incredibly tacky for anyone to speak negatively about someone who has passed on, especially someone you've never even met and who has done no harm to you. Just back off people and go about your lonely little lives. RIP Cory.

Why are you so broken up? You never met this guy, you just have some perverted gay fantasy that you could have been his lover. You are too mentally unstable to be a parent.

Some comments are really mean and offensive. It's true that cory montieth was not known by as himself but as finn Hudson but he sure differs from his last film role:he wanted to get better and live in reality and never to part with his loved ones yet old demons are harder to be ignored or silenced forever.Furthermore, stop offending perez for being a man posting different articles for different names, not all articles are about fashion or what this or that pop star did and said, it's more than that!and that's why perez is one of the few bloggers to succeed and grab our attention to the material he talks about as he wants to cover every last bit of Hollywood .some topics are darker than others but still needs to be revealed nonetheless.
BTW This IS tragic. It is a real tragedy that some are still victims of drugs and alcohol and it's getting easier these days to cave in with the temptations. I really hope that we won't be hearing any similar news any time soon
