Kristen Stewart Quitting Acting? Actress Preps For College Education!

Could Kristen Stewart be trading in scripts for the books???!

The smarty pants actress has reportedly enrolled at the uber prestigious UCLA to study english literature, but doesn't mean she'll be lightening up on her workload!

K-Stew will be both a leading lady AND a student full time!

A source spilled:

“Yes, Kristen’s a Tinseltown actress worth millions but she is already considering a life after film. She never got to complete college and she wants to get a proper education. She is a voracious reader and cannot wait to get going on her correspondence course. It won’t be easy and it will mean putting in some fairly strenuous hours. But once she’s graduated, Kristen will be able to do almost anything she wants, in or out of Hollywood.”

What a rennaissance woman!

Gurlfriend might be a freshy, but she already has a serious literary background.

How many of her peers will be able to say they acted out the pages of Snow White, Twilight, Into The Wild and On The Road before stepping foot inside a lecture hall??!

Let's just hope her glowing starpower doesn't distract other students TOO much from their work!

Yessss! That would be the best thing for her. Most stars are illiterate. She should disappear for few years so no one can bother her while she pursue a degree.

It's a correspondence course according to the statement. So I'm pretty sure no other students will be distracted.

Maybe she can take a class in social skills.. because she lacks any of that. She is awkward.

She's a natural writer. That's probably why one of Robert's gifts to her was a one of a kind pen. I am proud she's taking the high road and enhancing her career by becoming a writer, with an English Literature degree, she can become a scriptwriter or a novelist, her world will be even wider of opportunities. This is the perfect personal and career wise decision.

Why do you hate her so much? and make people hate her? what goes around comes around… specially when you have kids your own

Ummmm an English degree? Please tell me what all these possibilities are that come from a BA in English?

Good idea. She always looks miserable and uncomfortable. Perhaps she is better suited in the world of academia.
She sucks as an actress. No shame. Just not her forte.

This would be great! I would love to be able to go see movies that look good and not see her. She ruins movies, she doesnt make them. Acting really should of never been in her access. She should just stop while she's ahead. Her movies suck, her sad failed attempt at acting is atrocious…maybe she could actually do something good..maybe

That .gif is painful to watch and makes me super uncomfortable…

Firstly, Kristen is a wonderful actress, in my opinion, and we all have our personal favs of actors and actresses. Yes she has her haters and she has people who love her. Getting a degree is nothing but a positive move, even if it is in English, a degree is a degree, just because she isn't going to Med school doesn't mean that it is worthless. She will stay in the industry in many different aspects i presume and this is nothing but a stepping stone to what her career could really be :)
Stop hating so much people, it makes you ugly, and gives you wrikles :)

Hopefully she will be a better student than she has been an actress. Knowing her personality, she is probably going to major in Boring.

I.am very proud of her for doing this. She is very smart and I always felt she should take college courses. She will also meet new people if she has time off from making movies and can go to classes. I went in my forties and it was great.

Re: Jo – that's not true. They have to be able to read the scripts so to say their illiterate is a bit false.

Good for Kristen! Too many actors/actresses get by on looks and have no education! Nice to see her taking this step!

Re: Heather – Most critics loved Kristen in On the Road and Adventureland. She was nominated for a BAFTA after they reviewed every film she made. Perhaps you need an education.

I'm more happy about this than I would have been if she had reconciled with Rob again. I hope it is true. It doesn't matter IMO if she enrolls in a prestigious college or not. Lots of good people don't go to Ivy League colleges. Furthermore, it's not like she needs to improve her profitability. She's already rich.

  23. 23

I'd just take a few classes if she is interested in English Lit (which is what I did). As a major it is pretty useless, as is my degree in Social Science. If she is going to keep acting she can do what she wants, but if she wants to get a job, take something practical. I am always sorry I did not.
