Lisa Robin Kelly, best known for playing Topher Grace's older sister Laurie on That 70s Show, has died.

The troubled star struggled with drinking and drug addiction for years.

She was in rehab late Wednesday night when she reportedly went into cardiac arrest in her sleep. She could not be revived.

Lisa's agent broke the news, saying:

"She had been fighting demons for a while and finally lost her battle."

We're so sorry to see an actress with such potential fall before her time. So sad.

She died in her sleep last night in rehab. She was in rehab for alcohol abuse. She has a history of problems. Boom. Just did your job for you. You're welcome.

She was in rehab so I suspect severe alcohol withdrawal. I know most people will judge her, and I know she fell off the wagon time and time again. But it is hard to get clean and stay clean for some people. And I think it's sad when someone tries to get help and falls back into the habit they know is bad for them. It's sad how much the addiction gets ahold of a person.

Sad but not surprising at all. She had a LOT of problems, and it's a shame she wasn't able to overcome them. Just goes to show how powerful of a hold drugs and alcohol can hold over someone. RIP Lisa.

She shouldn't have been in a rehab facility while detoxing. She should have been in a hospital where she could be closely monitored.

She was just great as Laurie Foreman. I hated when she left the show because the other Laurie was like a dead fish. Loved her acting and will miss her.

My mom died this year of alcoholism as well at 49. Such a tragedy to families who have to go through this. :( My heart and prayers go out to all who loved her. I hope that in the future me being as young as I am can help others and let my voice be heard about this disease. Because, the cycle must be stopped.

Re: sick_girl – I have read about that, but went on the wagon in November 2009 with no side effects (I was taking Vicodin and thought it would be a good idea not to drink). I did not have any problems, although as soon as I got to Mexico the following May, all bets were off - Margaritaville here I come. On topic I hope she does OK.

Re: Heather – Heather I am so sorry for your loss. I lost an aunt to cirrohis after repeated visits to the hospital. She had a sad life after losing her first husband and son in a drowning accident right before their eyes. I truly hope your Mom gets better. I lost my husband of almost 33 years to end stage liver failure. You do NOT want to go that way.
