Simon Cowell can't wait for someone to call him their babydaddy!

Although we reported earlier that Simon had gone to the One Direction's London premiere of This is Us today sans Lauren Silverman, the lady who will share his future kid's genetic makeup, it looks like they're still on good terms!

In an interview at the premiere, Simon admitted to looking forward to being a father. Do our ears deceive us? Silent Simon speaks! Here's what he had to say about his spawn:

"[T]hings are changing in my life right now, for the better…I'm proud to be a dad."

He later said that although he had never thought of fathering a child before, he now feels "good about it."

We're feeling good about it too! After hearing that Lauren and her ex-to-be Andrew Silverman reportedly divorced amicably, maybe her and Simon can give a relationship an honest try-mester.

He even called Lauren "a very special girl." Aw, we bet he can't wait to have another special girl or boy in his life soon enough!

He will be a fantastic, loving father- however how on earth can social climbing Lauren Silverman a cheating adulteress who betrayed her husband and child be special. Now the spin doctors will start normalizing this appalling behavior.

Well I wish them both the best.

Re: Elly – I tent to agree with you, "Elly". I think he will be a good dad, no matter what his baby's mother will try to pull in the future. He (Cowell) will be there for his kid. I, personally, despise this bloke. I think he is a total asshole and a very arrogant, narcissistic douche bag. His opinion about other people's talents, abilities, whatever, is in most cases clearly intending to simply hurt people; imo, it’s kind of a psychopathic behavior. Even on TV one should preserve their dignity and behave like that, despise the to entertain drama hungry audience. Yes, yes, we know that some people are just idiots trying to sing when they KNOW they can't; maybe they think it's funny and they do it to amuse their friends? They might even deserve a harsh word to put them in their place, so to speak, but not to the extend he does it. Nevertheless, I think that to his family and child, Cowell would give his life to protect them and make them happy. I don't know why but I think this bloke runs two separate lives, public one (douche bag) and private one (a caring family man).
