Brandy Sang Two Songs In An Emtpy South African Stadium & Stormed Off Stage? Get Deets HERE!

| Filed under: Music MinuteWacky, Tacky & TrueBrandy

brandy south africa empty stadium concert sulked two songs

This is totally cray!!

Brandy Norwood is a world renowned singer, but that didn't impress many South African folks recently!

The R&B superstar performed in front of an audience of only 40, but she was in a venue that was meant to hold 90,000 screaming fans!!

The Boy is Mine singer was scheduled to sing after a sporting event, it seems, but the crowd had no clue… and nearly all of them left before she took the stage!

One alleged eye-witness, a musician named Kabomo, says she sang only two songs before storming off!

He tweeted:

Ugh! How horrible!

We wonder what went wrong!

That is so rude, it doesn't matter those 40 people wanted to see her perform, and she should give them their money back.

Ray j should stop running around talking about kk, he needs to help his sis…and for those other musicians, if you have something coming up, promote even if you have to create a fake story about yourself/sex always sells, cuz while she thought the coast was clear for her shine, bey and Rih were just changing hair and kept themselves on blogs and stuff…if u don't know how to work the celebrity machine, don't play the game cuz I'll lose

Oh, I was lmao because I thought they paid to see her. Now it doesn't seem funny since they didn't even know she was gonna be there. Was she a surprise guest? How could they not have known?

I'd be pretty pissed off too, that's bad management. Still, I expect this is just Perez exaggerating the story. She probably agreed to sing two songs for the positive press. Too bad it probably turned on her

  9. 9

Maybe nobody gives a shit about her.

She had a few hits a long time ago when she was young and has been pretty much a joke since then. No one cares about her.

She performed at the Nelson Mandela Sports and Cultural day , it was a whole day of soccer and rugby and then a concert, everyone left after the rugby game because they really just came for the (record breaking , epic) rugby game

I'm so mad at her for not treating those forty fans like they were important. What a pompous broad. I'm glad she only had 40. I would have never expected her to disrespect someone… meh.. I'm sure Bieber fans would have loved to have been a 40 fan audience. I wonder if he would have performed or pouted off. After some self-reflecting, I have decided to not be mad at her and instead have pity for her. Pity for her tude not the fan issue. Thanks for letting me vent Perez.

I actually had the privilege of seeing the late, great Josephine Baker on her final U.S. tour. She had received rave reviews in the New York Times for her appearance at Carnegie Hall. However, when the tour made it to the San Francisco Bay Area, I purchased tickets for myself and a couple of members of my family. She played in a venue, the Circle Star Theater, outside of San Francisco that held approx. 3500 seats. Well, there were only 6 people in the audience, myself, 2 members of my family and 3 other fans/guests. But being the trouper that she was, she performed her entire show. It was a little uncomfortable. The theater tried to darken the audience area to conceal the vast emptiness. I guess Brandy, coming out of the music video era, does not ascribe to the professional thing to do, "the show must go on". Sorry for Brandy, but, shame on her two. The 40 people did pay their ticket and deserved her respect to perform.

That should have read "too" and not "two". But anyway, Brandy's career has been very unstable for several years. She blames it on her not being honest about her supposedly being married and then pregnant. Her follow-up duet with Monica went unnoticed. And though she just had a respectable showing on the R&B charts with her last single, it did not cross over. She really didn't need anymore negative press…..but, unfortunately, she just insured some.
