Well, we never!
Robert Pattinson opened up QUITE a bit in the new issue of Germany's Interview magazine.
Now that the Twilight franchise is over, he admits to appreciating it for feeling so "grown-up" afterward, but homeboy was ready to jet the second it ended.
He admitted to the mag:
"The actual last day of filming had been in Canada, so that [last] night it was freezing cold and horrible. The whole crew just wanted to go. Just like me. I didn't say goodbye to all the guys but just took off."
LOL we keed, we keed! Robberz must have been totally stressed! And it's not like they can't all meet up for drinks if they really cared enough to keep in touch, right??
Welll… we're not exactly gonna bet on that day happening anytime soon, but we will continue with his interview! According to him, the fan-base gave him "creepy" vibes many times, saying:
"Suddenly everywhere I went people thought they already knew me. They look at a photo of me and think they have a special relationship, a friendship, an affair with me - someone they haven't met their whole life. That's crazy…but I try to laugh it off. The real odd thing about this Twilight target group is that they aren't really teenagers. Most of them are older. Twilight has its own parallel world, its own fan culture that has been forming on the net since day one. And in an intense way that has has never existed before. Sometimes I ask myself what these masses of people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything having even remotely to do with Twilight. Day and night. So actually really exciting - at least up to the point when I became part of that phenomenon."
Hmm… but it's not like he was the first heartthrob to come out of a major blockbuster hit. Leonardo DiCaprio's stunning Titanic rising is an example for the masses. Maybe he should have thought about it a lil' more before he signed the contract, no??
Also, isn't doing business with Dior asking for even more mainstream fame?? Perhaps the jury's still out on that one.
And last, but definitely not least, Rob shares the pain that comes with a name. While most find nicknames as verbal tokens of adoration and appreciation, Robert is apparently NO fan of the term "R-Patz" but finds solace in the fact that:
"Fortunately [my friends] ignore it. Just like Twilight."
Whoops! Sorry it irks you, but…
WE REGRET NOTHING!!! ;)
