It only seems fitting that One Direction would win! After all, they have the Best Song Ever!

1D faced some tough competition at the VMAs for Song Of The Summer as they went up against huge hits like Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines and Daft Punk's Get Lucky, but the boys had no problem taking home the trophy!

Seriously, it wasn't even CLOSE!

Miley Cyrus came in second for her amazingly awesome music video for We Can't Stop, and she had no problem admitting defeat to 1D and their loyal legion of followers!

Selena Gomez came in third for Come & Get It, while Calvin Harris came in fourth for I Need Your Love featuring Ellie Goulding, and Daft Punk came in fifth. Robin Thicke brought up the rear.

Congrats, boys!

Ch-ch-check out the boys accepting their award with the music video's director Ben Winston …AFTER THE JUMP!!!

VMA´s should be embarrassed by their crowd today. You could hear them boo at these guys (a lot of people cheered as well though, but still), at the beginning of Lady Gaga´s performance and a few other places I can´t remember right now. Absolutely awful! If you wanted someone else to win, you should have voted for them. One Direction deserve to win that award, the song is played everywhere and the had 3 million more votes than the runner up. And Lady Gaga is amazing in her own uniqueness. So, the crowd should be ashamed! End of!

This has to be some kind of joke. Whoever writes these articles should be embarrassed. Whoever chose the VMAs should be embarrassed as well.

Re: Linnéa – Hey, the booing to 1D was real, but just thought you should know that Gaga played a recording of booing as a part of her performance. She talked with 1D right after their win backstage and said she wanted to leave because she was upset by the crowd reaction. You can find the video of it if you google "lady gaga pep talk one direction".
