What a waste of time, I even prefer singing Clarkson!!! Roar is your everyday common radio song (reminiscent of what went on between her and Russell Brand, as he said it)

Both covers are better than the original

I am BLOWN away by Etham…he is extremely gifted. I hope this exposure helps him get a record deal. I would seriously buy his music!!!! I love the beginning of his song, it was unexpected and really fit well.

I've listened to Etham's song several times now and I love the beginning, its very catchy. I like his song WAYYYYYY better then Katy Perry's. Katy Perry is a manufactured singer, just
    Ike Gaga, and Spears.

Putting all your Katy/Gaga crap aside, these guys' vids are pretty awesome. Great job, E and C. CAN WE SEE THE OTHER ENTRIES? Like one sang like Katie Perry???!!!

I liked all of them. Wish there were more raw/amateur versions. You know like a kid/person just singing into web camera on his computer. Someone with personality.

  9. 9

What did they win? Is there going to be another one? How can I compete?

Awesome!!! It's nice to know there are people in the world who aren't celebrities that can sing way better than the celebrities that we know.

Kristen Justine is so talented. I've been a subscriber to her youtube channel for a few years now and I just can't get over her voice!

Etham is awesome, definitely going to check out his youtube channel!

Everyone did great, so much talent!

Etham's version is the only good one imo. The others are just a bunch of regular amateur-level YouTube covers.

All of the covers are so studio-ed up. There is only one real person who didn't added effects to their voice and didn't have an amazing camera and studio equipment and he wasn't even that great. Perez should have chosen REAL amateurs

Is your singing voice always compared to a current famous artist? When blindfolded could your friends and family SWEAR you sound like Adele or Justin Timberlake? If so, here’s your chance to win $5,000!!!

MTV is casting for a new and fun music competition show. We are looking for nonprofessional singers who sound just like a FAMOUS and CURRENT musician. Be it Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, or someone else, we are seeking "sound a-likes" who want to take part in this music competition show (professional artists need not apply)!

If this sounds like you or someone you know let us hear from you! Contestants must be 18 years or older. Please send an email to copycatcasting@gmail.com with your name, location, contact info and tell us which current contemporary artist you sound like. Please don't forget to send us vocal samples of you singing.

*The artists listed above are not affiliated with this project.
