Lily is the worst character on the show. So I hope that they dont give her a spin off. She plays well in small amounts as a supporting character.

Re: Avery – Buffy wasn't cancelled!? Has it been on all these years a what channel is it on? Dude if a show is not on the air anymore then it was cancelled.

Re: Tom – And that's where you're wrong. Buffy wasn't cancelled it finished, there's a difference.

Re: Elek-Tra – Actually Buffy was cancelled after season 5 when it moved to UPN where it got an order specifically for 2 more seasons before it too would be cancelled. Finishing and being cancelled are the same thing, however even if you want to claim that it's not the same, Buffy was still technically cancelled just after season 5 ended…. and now you know.

Are you kidding??? She doesn't have anywhere near the talent to carry her own show, more or less be part of a major motion picture.

Re: lgb – Aaaannnd I've just lost an occasion to shut up :')
But I still believe that being cancelled and finished are not the same thing, a series can be cancelled because of a lack of audience but "finished" means that it came to an end (with a proper ending.. At least that's what we always hope ^^)

Re: Tom – You're technically sort of right that any show which isn't on the air anymore has been ”cancelled”, but the term is often used more specifically to refer to shows which are forcibly ended by the network due to low ratings or other issues. Buffy was a show where the timing of the ending seemed to be generally agreed between all involved. The spin-off Angel is an example of a show that was very suddenly ended by its network, apparently against the wishes of the cast, writers…etc.

PS: Do you remember Freiser, the Cheers series spin-off? It was one of the most successful spin-off series.
