Amanda Bynes' Medical Costs Are So Ridiculously High, You Won't Believe It!

Then again, we are talking about Amanda Bynes.

So maybe you will!

While the troubled actress deals with Twitter hacks and record negotiations inside the UCLA medical center, her bills are stacking themselves to the sky!

We've just discovered the insane price for sane stability — $3,500 a day!!! « —- whoaaaaaaaaa.

That crazy price covers treatment and living expenses… and hopefully a lifetime supply of wigs as the judge said it was A-OK to keep her locked up for a full year if doctors deem necessary!

ALL costs dealing with hospital stays/medical issues are ridiculously high. The cost for her treatment isn't any higher than costs associated with a regular medical stay, considering where she's at and what all her treatment consists of. She has insurance that will cover most of it, which is most likely one of the reasons she was moved (insurance typically only covers long term care at certain places). Also, why make the jab about her wigs? Don't you think that's a little uncalled for, considering she DOES have mental problems and her wig obsession most likely had to do with that? Pretty low blow on your part, Perez.

And still, Americans don't want obamacare. No wonder you have so many poor people dying for lack of proper care. Or going bankrupt.

This is a "normal" price for this type of hospitalization. A relative of mine was recently kept for 24 hours in a county facility in CA with a shared room. The bill was nearly 10K.

Re: overthere – Obamacare is a train wreck. Insurers are raising premiums now, and the fundamental reason for Obamacare, which was to expand Medicaid so the "poor" could have free medical care at the expense of those who are forced to pay the high premiums, was gutted when SCOTUS voted that the states can't be forced to expand their Medicaid programs by the fed. So who wins? Big insurance. We don't want or need socialized medicine, and Obamacare should be repealed. It was a bad idea made a worse one by SCOTUS. The "poor" will still flood hospital ERs, and the rest of us are having our pockets picked by the law. Only a mental midget wants Obamacare.
Hey ape-faced queer: Leave Bynes alone. Asshole.

My husband had cancer. He was hospitalized for about 9 months total over a 2 year period at a cost of $2800 a day. So that total for her is not as big as you think.

A full year, OR until she runs out of money. Or insurance coverage.

This is a pretty horrible pic to post when speaking about someone with a mental illness. Just saying…it feels pretty mean.

Re: The Truthinator – I've got a great Medicare supplement plan that does not cost me a thing. So far I have had the normal female exams and visited the rheumatologist. Next month I am going to get my eyes checked, probably need new glasses. The only thing that costs extra is dental care. but there are several places in my town offering new patient discounts for cleaning only for as low as $29.

Im gonna keep saying this until it appears on the cover of people or star magazine! Nickelodeon stars were molested and raped! Seriously that guy Dan schnieder is the biggest pedophile ever, why do u think all these child stars end up so crazy. These mags think they are being so scandalous with their stupid, "he cheated, she cheated, fat, skinny" headlines, they don't have the balls to slap this headline on their covers, yeah its sad, BUT TRUE ppl, I think your ignorant if you believe that this stuff cant happen on a CHILDRENS show(pedophiles dream come true). honestly I gonna keep posting this everywhere until someone says something and it gets media attention. I don't want attention I want this disgusting coverup to finally blow up in the media

I'm really happy she is getting help despite the price she really needs it. She was a great actress and hopefully this time in the hospital will get her back on track and she can build her career back up. I'm def rooting for her.. she was always so pretty and seemed nice in her interviews before the mental break.

    Re: she was molested
Honestly, if that is the case and you believe that you have good evidence to support it, then why not go to a reporter and tell the story. If you find someone good, they will do leg work with you to find corroboration.

The average length of stay for the psych unit at UCLA is less than 7 days - sadly they keep anyone with money far longer than those on medicare or medicaid or even private insurance.. Even if she is schizophrenic she would have been discharged after a few days to a week at most

Your constant bullying of someone with a mental illness just shows how petty, ignorant and immature you are…and she used to call you friend!
You are rotten to the core

Amanda Bynes is very well liked even though she has done wrong. And many forgive her because she is sick.
That would be cool if there was a amanda Bynes Help Fund raiser.
Maybe it would inspire her to get better way faster ;)
