When it comes to playing a lesbian on the upcoming season of Glee, Demi Lovato is nothing but proud.
We reported earlier how the Disney star was having an "awesome" time playing the lady lover of Naya Rivera's Santana, but she told Ryan Seacrest this morning on On Air with Ryan Seacrest that it's also been an honor:
"I don’t want people to take from this, ‘Oh my god, Demi is kissing a girl.’ I want people to take from it this is actually an incredible step in our generation today where I’m able to play a young lesbian on primetime TV…I’m honored to be able to be hopefully inspiring people with my character to be who they are and not be afraid of it or ashamed."
Hopefully this showmance will be one small step for man, and at least two giant makeout sessions for Demi and Naya!
But in all seriousness, this is a huge and important step forward for primetime TV! You go, girl-on-girls!
We can't wait for to see these two seksi ladies do it…uh, we mean, duet!
