    Re: themundane – Every song has a range of notes. A singer also has his or her own comfortable vocal range, and thus needs to start any given tune in a key (and at that key's note) that allows them to also reach the upper end of the song's note spectrum while still having the note sound full and well and not strained. If she started certain tunes in her speaking range, if it had high notes three or four octaves higher in it, it could not be done.

    actually her singing voice is characteristically deep. i've been listening to her demos since 2006 and it has always been low. anyways, i was blown away by this performance..she gets me every time. hope to see more
