lea michele cory monteith tattoo tribute

We know Lea Michele is doing everything she can to keep Cory Monteith's memory alive.

With the Glee tribute episode and her wearing her Cory necklace all the time, she's still holding onto their love.

And now we hear she's gone one step further in order to never have to part ways with her lover who was tragically lost by overdose.

An insider has revealed Lea got a new tattoo just for Cory:

"It’s in a private place, with Cory’s initials in a black heart. It’s something she did for herself and to always remember the love they shared."

What a sweet gesture to honor the man who was the love of her life.

We're sure that little tattoo will be a daily reminder to Lea of how great Cory was to her.

its a freaking drug addict for heavens sake.

  2. 2

He does not deserve an Emmy tribute. People who have contributed much more to the art of acting have been left out before to great controversy. What did you do in his very short career that is worth honor? That's a rhetorical question.

I honestly feel bad for all the people commenting on here. Saygirl1309, you clearly don't understand the concept of addiction. Cory Monteith never in his life hurt anyone accept himself. If he were hurting other people, I would agree with you, but he only hurt himself so why shouldn't he be missed? You work under the same logic that says suicidal people are weak, and I feel bad you view the world in such a negative way and aren't happy. kornholio, where do I even start? Your sexist view of a young woman grieving is vile and your homophobic comments are just as bad. In 30 years your grandkids (granted you can get someone to sleep with you now) will be ashamed of you in the same way thousands of grandkids now are ashamed of their racist grandparents. You'll be the person they talk about being on the wrong side of history in school. As for you, JoshHarlow, yes other people have contributed more to the art form, but name one other person who died THIS YEAR who contributed as much. You can't. He touched millions of lives. His life is no less valuable than anyone else's even if he wasn't as talented. And I'm pretty sure there's always a tribute to all the fallen, so you don't need to worry. Again, your cynical view of the world makes me feel nothing but pity for you.

Re: Taylor – Yes, he hurt someone , in case that you belive in their relationship, he give a fuck about him and especially give a fuck about her.-

  6. 6

I cant help but think she must have been an enabler, he was quite vocal about about he's drug use. I think that Lea and Perez are taking Cory's death to the bank. It's so wrong to "honor" a self destructive druggie

  7. MichJB says – reply to this

She's done everything but dig up his rotting corpse and drag it along beside her. Is she really in that much need of attention?

  8. Taylor says – reply to this

Re: Val – Please learn proper English before you comment. No one can make out what you're saying when you're using the grammar of a four year old. I can only imagine you're saying he hurt her by dying, which is true, but he didn't hurt her on purpose, that's important. I also am confused by your comment "In case you believe in their relationship." If you're one of those conspiracy theorists thinking the relationship was fake, god help you. I hope you find something positive in your life to obsess over instead.

Re: lacroix – Actually, if you were following the story you would know she staged an intervention and begged him to go to rehab. He wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for her. He was probably so weak from over fifteen years of drug use that an overdose was inevitable. He was a drug addict long before her and if you believe he just happened to pick it up again because of her, you don't understand addiction. Everyone interviewed (including his mother) has said she was a positive influence and he was trying to get sober because of her. If anything, he would have died earlier without her. If anything, I would blame the people with him that night that allowed him to use.

Re: MichJB – She was being photographed on a daily basis long before this and will continue to be long after. She's not looking for attention. She's literally given one statement asking for privacy and then gave one speech thanking the fans. If she were selling her story to magazines I'd agree with you, but wearing a necklace with his name on it isn't "attention seeking." She was wearing it long before he died. The media following her every move after this was inevitable and you can't blame her for that. Hell, the first 3 weeks after she went into hiding and didn't leave her house once to avoid the paps waiting outside! If she were attention seeking don't you think she would have emerged sooner?

  11. 11

I think it's lovely that she got a tattoo in a private place to honor him.
People on here should have more respect she is not milking it she is grieving the death of her boyfriend. If she was milking it she would of released her album already and used what has happened to her to create a sob story so more people would buy it. But she hasn't! The only public appearance she has made about Cory in fact her only public appearance was at the Teen Choice Awards months ago! and also so what if she wears a necklace with Cory's name on it? She has actually been wearing that months before Cory died, when ever they were apart she would wear it. I don't approve of what he done but who are we to judge? Yes he made a mistake which sadly cost his life and just because he was In the public eye people like you have nothing nice to say about him, I'm sure if this was your brother, father, son etc you wouldn't like for people to judge so negatively about him! If anyone actually took the time to read about his life you find he had a tough upbringing which even lead him to living on streets and unfortunately to drugs. Cont –>

  12. 12

And why does he not deserve an Emmy's tribute?
Yeah he was not as good an actor as James Gandolfini but he has just as many fans and respect from them as he does.
    Rest In Peace Cory Monteith.

Re: MizzD13 – Thank you - too all of the rest of you on this TABLOID website trashing Lea & bad mouthing Cory. Get a life.

  14. Zaina says – reply to this

People leave the man alone. He is getting the emmy tribute whether you like it or not. I think the people there know what they are doing. As for this post it's about her love for him
not milking it. SHE LOVED HIM AND HE LOVED HER. GET TH FUCK OVER IT AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR DAMN LIVES. Cory is apart of her forever you think she will just forget about him…the man she planned to marry in the near future. Cory was a celebrity as is Lea obviously life goes on even after clearly non of you understand life. They are doing the same thing with mj, whitney, amy and so on how many years after. If you don't like it move the fuck on. I'm sick and tired of you people bashing people you don't even know As if you're perfect.

  15. Zaina says – reply to this

If what he did affected you so much. Don't bash him. Go find Cyrus, Bieber, or even Efron. In fact yes go find Zax…and tell him all the stuff you now about drugs. Cory is gone even if you didn't like him isn't that punishment enough. As for Lea she has to remember this for the rest of her life. She is still kid and she has to keep growing up sometime. At 26 you planned to get married and now at 27 she has to struggle to because of what happened to her future husband. What 27 year old woman or man should have to face that alone. She probably thought he was the one for as did her for her.

  16. Zaina says – reply to this

Don't treat him like just a junkie he wasn't. He was one of the nicest guys around, You didn't even have to meet him to be sure of that. He makes me proud. I love him because despite what he endured as a child he went on to be one of the most loved people on tv by youth demographic. The thirteen year old cory wanted to be loved and as a man he was. Most kids shouldn't have to go through what he did .Instead of bashing him, praise him for leading on a normal life despite that. You have no right to judge Cory. He was brave for even attempting to have a normal life. Druggie or not this guy was a hero to some people including me. Do you know why? He speaks for every young kid out there going through depression…cont

  17. Zaina says – reply to this

drugs, anorexia or anything. Even though he only lived a short time Cory Montieth taught and is continuing to teach young kids to never give up and reach for their dream and succeed in that dream.Never define him as just a junkie but define him as a man who actually made a difference in how kids are nowdays.

  18. Ash says – reply to this

Good for her. Grief sucks and will take a long time. Im only 29 weeks into losing my husband and its as raw as it was the day it happened. I got my husbands thumb print on my wrist the day after his funeral.

  19. marchbaby says – reply to this

All you people on here, Slagging off Cory and Lea have clearly never loved and lost someone to drugs. Drug addiction IS an illness, YES people chose to take drugs and are not forced into it. However, NO-ONE has the right to judge any one, If you havent lived his life dont judge. SIMPLE! And i hope to god none of you have to deal with someone who is "a scummy drug addict" because your obviously too shallow minded to see the person and not the addiction!!

  20. 20

I don't mean for this to come off as insensitive, because I do truly feel for Lea Michelle, no matter what the cause of Cory's death was, but a tattoo doesn't seem like the best idea to me. To each his own, but what happens down the line when she meets someone else and falls in love? Now she has another man's initials, inside a heart, tattooed onto her body. Whether someone is alive or deceased, I just dont' think it is ever a good idea to tattoo your significant other's name onto your body because you never know what the future may hold. Save that spot for a child or parent. Honor Cory in her heart, not on her skin. It doesn't make her love for him any less. I don't know just my opinion, but like I said…to each his own.

  21. 21

She should have tattooed 'dead junkie' on her huge jew nose.

Re: Taylor – THANKS for a well thought out post. It doesn't surprise me that the people so full of prejudice and hate would not understand why Cory was important to so many. For many of us, Cory's "work" will never go away.

  23. 23

Re: Taylor – Its not about the work they have done this THIS year, its about their body of work and what the contributed to television. Larry Hagman was in one of the biggest hits of the 80's and has MULTIPLE awards for work. His body of work was consists of over 100 roles has been largely on television. He's a small screen icon. Cory has about 30 roles split between tv and film. Most of those credits are very small parts or as an extra. He has ONE big television role. Are you seriously telling me that Corey deserves more of an honor the Hagman? If you are then I'm sorry, you're an idiot.

  24. 24

most people have never heard of him.

Re: Nic-Nak – Yeah I'm the idiot. You didn't even spell his name right. I'm not saying it's about the work he did this year. You didn't even read my comment, or you're too stupid to understand it. I was saying of the PEOPLE WHO DIED THIS YEAR there was no one more famous. Dumbass.

  30. Taylor says – reply to this

Re: Nic-Nak – You clearly didn't read my comment. I'm not saying it's about the work he did this year, I'm saying he's the most famous person who died this year. He was no where near as talented as the majority of people in hollywood, I admit that. But his life did matter and he was the most famous person to die this year. Please don't refer to people as stupid when you didn't even read their comment in full, or are too stupid to understand what they were saying. He was the most well known person to die this year, his work this year has nothing to do with what I said.

Re: shaygirl1309 – That's not true, actually. Everyone in America knew what Glee was. It's a pretty crappy show, but the kids on it got famous from it and most people knew who he was. Not everyone follows celeb news and I respect that, but if you're on Perezhilton.com I'd suspect you're either lying since he was on the site every other day, or this is your first time discussing celebs and you're choosing to start off in a hateful manner.

Re: kornholio – Lovin all the racism on here. Best part is that the Jewish community is the richest and most successful in America. They literally run the media and basically own the economy! I'm christian myself, but I'm sensing some crazed jealousy due to Jewish success on here and I find it hilarious. Bitch all you want, but it will be the Jewish population going home to their mansions, running the stock market, and ordering you to get them a latte in the morning!

I think people do have the right to frown on the fact that people elect to try these hard drugs .. knowing the consequences …. love me some cory monteith … but years ago he should have said 'no' … DON'T TRY HARD DRUGS. simple. as. that. nothing in life is that bad to have to try hard drugs. nothing.

Re: Taylor – I didn't read your comment? "but name one other person who died THIS YEAR who contributed as much. You can't." Those are your exact words. Cory may have been more famous to YOU and people below the age of 30 but guess what, there are people out there that are OLDER who remember these other stars more than some guy from Glee. It's not about the fact that Cory is being honored, it's the fact that he's being honored ABOVE people who have contributed to television more than he has. It's about the fact that the Emmys are blatantly pandering to a younger generation and honoring fame over talent.

It's incredibly sad to see so much hate towards her and Cory. He was a drug addict, that doesn't mean he was an awful person who doesn't deserve to be mourned and grieved over. Drug & alcohol addiction is an illness and he lost. You don't call people who die of lung cancer due to smoking bad people, and you don't generally say they aren't worth grieving for. What's the fucking difference? Truly. You don't have to mourn Cory, you don't have to like him, but he was a person, he was troubled but he was someones son, someones love, someones friend.

  42. Klaire says – reply to this

so many harsh comments on both Lea and Perez. he deserved the Emmy tribute coz in his short career he did alot. he sported alot of charity and worked hard despite an addiction. Lea loved him. no denying that and her tribute to him (wearing a necklace and tattoo) is her way of remembering. I'm getting a tattoo to remember my Gran's death i bet your not telling me she doesn't deserve to be remembered. he was human at the end of the day but he made a huge impact on people's lives. GET A GRIP PEOPLE!!!
