It happens to the best of us!
No, really. If it even happens to the mighty Oprah Winfrey, it really happens to the best of us!
The media mogul has always been more than above average in the busy department, but everything almost came crumbling down for O last year.
"It was just sort of speeding and a kind of numbness and going from one thing to the next thing to the next thing. I thought, 'if I don’t calm down I’m going be in serious trouble.' I was in the middle of doing voiceovers, you know? And I remember closing my eyes in between each page because looking at the page and the words at the same time was too much stimulation for my brain."
That sounds awfully frightening!
According to her, the realization of what was happening came in October 2012, when she was interviewing Kony 2012 director Jason Russell and learned more about what led to his now infamous public breakdown.
"I was sitting and listening to Jason Russell describe his symptoms …. saying, 'Um, this sounds pretty familiar to me.' I had reached a point where I just couldn’t take in anymore stimulation.
Gurl was full of stimulation, indeed!
Not only was she fighting hard to keep her OWN network up to her standards, she was filming Lee Daniels' The Butler.
Good thing she recognized the problem when she did!
We'd never want to see our dear O in anything too troublesome. She knows how to battle anything, but we'd rather not be worried about her well-being. Stay strong, gurl!!
