Well this is good and kind of confusing news!
We were totes worried about Amanda Bynes checking into The Canyon rehab center after hearing her psychiatric stay was possibly going to be extended until 2015 and that she's also been deemed mentally unfit to stand trial for her DUI case, but it seems there is nothing to worry about.
Amanda's parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, released a statement through their lawyer, Tamar Arminak, and revealed their daughter was moved to rehab because of her doctors at UCLA found it to be the best next step on her road to recovery.
In fact, she will be receiving similar care there as she was getting at UCLA. Their lawyer commented:
"She is getting specialized psych care, one on one treatment, not drug rehab."
And apparently it's really for the best as an insider added:
"Amanda was stuck with people in much worse condition than her. She was scared, afraid and did not leave her immediate room area."
Considering the things we had recently heard about her condition, including her lawyer's concerns over her mental health, we're not so sure what to believe.
But we do hope Amanda continues down a healthy road and is at the best place for her needs right now!
