EXCLUSIVE! Backstreet Boy Nick Carter Dishes Dirty Deets On Past Drug Addiction & New Book!

| Filed under: Exclusives!DrugsInspirationNick CarterBookzBackstreet Boys

Being in the Backstreet Boys may sound like a one-way ticket to easy, breezy living, but that's not necessarily the case!

Nick Carter — the boy band's youngest member by far — hasn't had the easiest life!

He was pulled into the limelight at 13 and quickly began to abuse drugs and alcohol. Even worse, his talented sister Leslie tragically died in January of 2012. As shocking as it sounds, Nick once admitted that his family blamed him for her drug-related death!

Bottom line, Mr. Carter may be back on top these days with In A World Like This, but he's endured a tremendous amount of hardship to get there. Which is why we're so excited about his self-help book, Facing the Music And Living To Talk About It!

Nick sat down with us EXCLUSIVELY! to share the intimate details of why he wrote the book, who he's hoping will read it, and where he's going from here!

Ch-ch-check out the EXCLUSIVE! interview with the music legend (above)!

Wow!! Nick is clearly more than just musically gifted and totally dreamy, he's an inspiration to us all!

Thanks for sharing your story, good sir!

Facing the Music And Living To Talk About It is on bookshelves now!

The book has been out well over a week, and it is actually quite good. It is NOT a gossipy tell all about other celebrities-so if you're looking for that, you'll be disappointing. Carter does show a deep insight into his own responsibility for the mess his life became, even though there are definite reasons in his background that made him susceptible. It is certainly obvious that he has been working with a therapist!

Re: jnp – It looks like kind of a self written halfways bio. They're not fiction nor do they strive to be great literature, but rather to be a personal account and representation of someone's life and experiences. An actual biography is written by someone else.
