Everyone had something to say about Miley Cyrus’ infamous VMA performance. Now, it's Taylor Swift's turn and the country princess has spoken! The co… Read more…
She showing she has class and it's smart not to start a war of words with a hillbilly like miley who will bring it into the gutter as fast as she can. Go taylor
Loved the photo of Taylor out waterboarding alone by her home. She looked serene, healthy and happy. She can be out there enjoying life without the need for constant attention. I hope this gal is truly happy within. She didn't mention Miley.
The worst role models in american culture.. are black rappers. PEROID. They are 100000x worse role models than miley can ever be. Everything black rappers do from the minute they wake up to the time they sleep.. is a bad influence on everybody. But i bet taylor would NEVER in a million years criticize rap. She'd never start a war of words with rap "role models". Blacks would call her a hillbilly. The media will portray miley as a bad role model but stay far far far away from criticizing rappers. Nobody wants to be called a racist.
This has nothing bto do with performing, TS is playing ice queen princess…Miley doesn't suffer from this extended self-absorbing shit (only those who take hits and pretend to still be standing up high are totally off base)
Spear us the attitude lady, Miley doesn't have an attitude problem!
she is so classy. Love this girl
Taylor is amazing and she is a great role model. Love her
I don't understand where the words celebrity and role model became synonymous? Last I checked, being famous doesn't immediately make you a role model, it means you have a talent or skill that you are recognized and paid for… Role models are people within our communities who volunteer and go that extra mile to make the world a better place. Not 'throwing shade' on any celebrity, but just being famous does not make you a role model.
And Taylor Swift's words kept classy as usual. Everyone needs to back off Miley- she's just being who she wants at the moment- Elvis did it, Madonna did it, Cher did it… the list goes on…
Re: Shellobeanwellrean – Your words are unbelievably disgusting. I can think of many different artists of all races that have negativity in their music. It doesn't make them a bad influence, as it is playing to a genre of music that they are good at. Get your head out of your a– and stop being so unbelievably ignorant and arrogant.
Taylor is not talking about Miley. She is talking about herself only, because the Glamour interview occurred BEFORE the VMAs. If anyone read the WHOLE Glamour article, you can see Taylor was interviewed on the Friday of her LA concert…BEFORE the VMAs!!
Re: MissLadee – you sound like one of those "hoes and bitches" the black rappers sing about and then marry white women to avoid. A black girl employee of my parents once called my dad a dirty old man when she saw a picture of my mom and dad in their business when they were younger and word got back to my mom who just laughed (my mom was 19 and he was more than double her age when they met). And i thought "if its ok for black women to be ignorant and call older wealthy white males DOMS for having a young white wife.. then its ok to criticize them for raising more criminals per capita than any other americans. And now those criminals are spreading their ghetto ignorance via rap via BAD influence. BLACK RAPPER MEN ARE A BAD INFLUENCE. PERIOD.
Re: MissLadee – The men of my culture (nordic) achieved a murder rate that is one of the lowest of all males on earth. No nordic countries have high murder rates. Black ghetto men of america havent accomplished that yet.. Until they do.. dont lump us in with them. I'm not racist. But i'm also not from the PC police. "ignorant" means different things to different people. To you it means "anybody who calls rappers bad role models".. to me.. it means "anybody who DOESNT call rappers bad role models". We will never see eye to eye. Dont bother trying.
If rap music was a WHITE style of music sung by exclusively by whites… it would be considered vile and the media would trash it endlessly and it would be called exactly what it is: a bad influence on children. But it has a black skin shield that saves it from criticism. Even black leaders have called it that. Read the lyrics. Its whole image and persona is "gangsta", violence.. drugs.. hoes. Its every black stereotype rolled into song form.
Taylor is right. she is smart and humble and I love it. ps: Taylor is not talking about miley since this interview was before the vmas.
Like I said before Taylor is arrogant and thinks her shit doesn't stink. Nasty white trash.
HOw the hell does this have to do with MILEY??? you are writing things that has nothing to do with miley. idk why i even go on your site antymore u piss me off
Re: Shellobeanwellrean – Stop saying rappers as a whole. Many rappers are educated black and white ppl who rap about real shit and are better ppl in their lives than you. Sit down and shut up! I do agree that some of these stupid fucking ppl are terrible role models that they glorify.
Taylor is classy and smart. Her sucess will continue for sure
Taylor is clearly talking about herself, not Miley. This interview was done prior to the VMas so how could she be shading Miley for something that hadn't occurred yet? Taylor is clearly alluding to the fact that she believes she has made mistakes herself and had been made fun at awards shows .
Re: Fred1259 – How is saying that you've made mistakes being arrogant? You hate on Taylor and comment on every Perez article about her. Arent you getting tired of your pathetic little hatefest?
Re: me – "Many rappers are educated black and white ppl who rap about real shit" (in a real shitty way) …. those "white people" who rap.. are whites who were victims of black ghetto "role models" in their lives: aka wiggers. Some white women marry shit for men and then raise their babies in violent ghetto communities (like detroit) and then those babies become influenced by that horrible role model: "rap" and start rapping. If some of these rappers are "sooooo educated" then maybe they can rap about their life working in a corporate office.. or about their life as a great inventor inventing some new technological gadget. Something that is "real shit" to us civilized folks.
She didn't say anything about Miley. This site makes mountains out of mole hills. I'm getting bored.
Re: shellobeanwellrean – Yes but you belong to the only culture with a sole man killing an entire populated island (a record!).
Re: MissLadee – I agree with you there. But Miley became famous playing Hannah Montana reaching out to kids and preteens especially who are very influential. They have grown up a little by now but she still has a lot of young and impressionable fans which is why people call on her to be a good role model because whether she wants to or not, these people look up to her and want to be like her. I guess it comes with the job.
Re: Shellobeanwellrean – How disgusting is this comment. You are making a generalization about music genre and unfairly singling out blacks. Just because rap is dominated by blacks doesn't mean they are all negative and if so then you should look up some white, Asian, Latina artist in Rock n Roll, country and whatever else genre that are just as negative. Shame on you, I come from a very diverse background and it saddens me how carelessly we throw race into situations that has nothing to do with situations at hand. I only hope you will become open minded and accepting. By the way do more research on old school rap artist that speak to the youth and I'm sure you will be more inspired.
This is so sweet!
