You know, making fun of mental health is never cool… but really Sinead, you wrote an open letter. When she open responds in a way you don't like, yes, that sucks but you also shouldn't be going around giving your direct pointed opinion on something and not expect to get a reaction, either positive or negative. If she was truly convicted to reach out to Miley and worried about her well being, she likely could have found a way more private way to do so.

I'm so over the Rose ODonnell/Sinead OConnor/Melissa's Etheridges ex wife/ etc writing these supposedly deep, profound things on the internet and then getting all hurt when the entire world doesn't give them a round of applause. Sure, it's not fair to attack mental illness and Miley COULD have been an adult and turned the other cheek, but it's her prerogative to do so as it's your prerogative to write open letters for the whole world to see.

I see this Cyrus broad, in a few yearas, dressed up as Hannah Montannah, walking down Santa Monica Blvd, asking for crack cocaine, and saying: I used to be Hannah Montannah ! Prollly go down on a guy for a rock…….see if she'll 'memba dis'n Sinead when she has lost her marbles due to all the drugs she is putting into that ugly face of hers …….

Everyone is hating on Miley right now (not that she doesn't completely deserve it) but this is getting out of hand. Her videos are trashy, she seems to be doing everything she does just to get publicity and it is working since she's become such a popular subject since the VMAs fiasco.

However, she never asked for Sinead's advice nor do we even know whether they know each other personally. If they did, the fact that Sinead came to write a public letter addressing Miley and her personal issues seems even worse to me. Friends who want what is best for you do not go saying things about you, pretend they're just looking out for you, to everyone but you.

Sinead is just looking for attention. Then when she got the response she deserved (let's face it, anyone in Miley's position would have done the same thing if not worse), Sinead is playing the victim who is trying to be strong. Poor Sinead. I'd almost feel sorry for you if you hadn't gotten yourself in this in the first place. And then threatened to sue the girl you were trying to 'help' with your unsolicited advice. That should help her get better. Kudos to you.

Re: kristin231 – Sinead is commenting on how Miley treated her unfairly In so doing so she is bringing up the issue of mental illness stigma. Stigma is a real problem It can and does lead to unfair discrimination in education, employment and housing. Plus the shame of dealing with a psychiatric diagnosis.

    Re: Juggalo

90s burnout? Lol grow up kid. And show some effing respect for people who have mental disorders and struggle with it. They don't need the likes of someone like Miley Cyrus or YOU for that matter throwing it in their face. So yes, nasty Miley needs to get her ass sued as a lesson and a lawsuit that would be TOTALLY justified. And btw, you saying that she is talented and will only get more so, proves that you're just a child.

I am in no way sickened by Miley's actions. She is an actor, performer, and entertainer. The way I look at it is if you dont like what she does don't watch her. I don't like the insane clown group I think screamo music is retarded but I dont go around putting them down for it. Many famous people do what they have to do to stand out. It doesnt make them bad people. Makes it smart bussiness. If she wasnt acting like this people wouldnt be talking about her and she may not be sell as many singles as she is. I call it VERY smart business. People act like she should stay the same way she was at 12 and 13 years old. ARE YOU THE SAME AS YOU WAS AT 12-13 YEARS OLD. DOUBT IT SO WHY SHOULD SHE. She played a character on a tv show that doesnt mean she is that person and she should always be that person. ITS CALLED ACTING FOR A REASON. Madonna got crucified for some of the things she did but all that did was help her sell albums. Micheal Jackson when he grabbed his crotch for the first time on tv people were flipping out all it did was help sell albums and tickets. SMART BUSINESS. As for her going head to head with O'Conner, Miley didnt seek her out she came after her with all these OPEN LETTERS so why wouldnt Miley aim back at her for it. She needs not to apologized O'Conner needs to apologize for words. Let her try to sue Miley I would like to watch that court hearing. Love you Miley continue to grow up and be who you want to be let the haters hate.

I think it's sick what she did…no one deserves this, it just annoys me when celebs preach that 'it gets better' and you should 'love who you are' yet someone like Miley is taking the p*ss out of sinead for having mental health problems, when most people have them. People shouldn't be shamed for this type of stuff, especially when their not attention seeking. Miley's just trying to get herself more attention, don't know what for after all the stuff shes done recently.

you guys are crazy! She didnt make fun of her she just showed that sinead is mentally unfit to be judging anyone… sinead should've never started this and she got what she deserved.
