Oh how this warms our hearts!!!

That's Angelina Jolie posing with whom appears to be the sweetest looking man on the face of the earth!

But in addition to that adorable face, Louis Zamperini is also a 96-year-old war hero with a story that will make your jaw hit the floor!

His harrowing tale is the subject of Angie's next directorial endeavor, in the upcoming film Unbroken!

This candid shot shows Jolie smiling and resting her head on Zamperini's shoulder. You can tell, she has nothing but the utmost respect for this brave soldier!

The two met last year after Angelina signed on to direct the movie about his AH-Mazing story of surviving not only 47 days stranded at sea but then years as a Japanese prisoner of war during World War II!

Angelina spoke about turning Louis' incredible ordeal into a film, saying:

"It will be hard to make a film worthy of this great man. I am deeply honored to have the chance and will do all I can to bring Louie's inspiring story to life."

The Oscar-winning actress will be adapting Laura Hillenbrand's 2010 bestselling biography about Louis.

Filming for the flick is set to start in Australia very soon, with Garrett Hedlund and English actor Jack O'Connell set to star.

We will PROUDLY see this story when it arrives on the big screen!

It's sad to me the "kids" wont get this, they are to busy calling people like Cory Monteith and Zac Efron "heros"…

  2. 2

exactly! kids don't understand what a hero is these days.

  3. 3

just one more thing….Angie can make a film about a stranger and can't even see her own father, I feel sorry for her kids.

  4. 4

No, this isn't a "candid" shot. It's a pose shot done by professional photographer as a promotional pic for her upcoming movie.

my classmate's ex-wife makes $88 an hour on the internet. She has been out of a job for nine months but last month her payment was $19219 just working on the internet for a few hours. published here… www.Day37.com

Such a candid shot indeed. Here's hoping it doesn't go all "Clint Eastwoodesque" on us.

The atrocities that the Japanese inflicted during WW2 were much greater than anything the Nazis ever did, but for some reason these horror stories get little coverage

Re: mr pete – exactly, just research the Rape of Nanking!

That picture is just ridiculous. Why are her eyes closed?! She's trying way to hard to come across as "loving".

These veterans are dying off and the stories of their sacrifices are dying with them. I'm glad she is taking the time to tell this man's story.

yeah, he looks nice, pity about this plastic mug that's laying it's head on his shoulder *shudder*. Of course she is loving it! She gets to make millions out of it all! Sincere, candid, loving MY FOOT!

Re: Bella2u – and how the hell is the australian film industry benefiting by this movie about american, written by americans, directed by an american, acted in by americans but paid for by aust tax-payer!!!!

This is NOT a 'candid shot' . It is posed and nauseatingly contrived…

Re: elephantinroom1 – (post #14) Well, I don't think Aussies will benefit from it. The so called "movie industry" in Australia will probably get a cut, though. I am sure she only makes this movie here because it was the cheapest option for her. I guess local council will get something out of it too. What they will do with the money is only God knows. I doubt that Aussie tax payers will be charged for all this, but then again she is probably wined and dined by the local asshole club and they notoriously classify their entertaining activities as "business or work related expenses" for which we, the tax payers, have fork out. So, perhaps, you have a point after all, "elephantinroom1" :D

Re: Bella2u – Totally agree Bella!

Yes she beautiful but she's also a parasite especially in terms of coming to australia to make a movie about an american, directed by an american, acted in by americans, photographed by americans, written by americans, based upon a book by an american-but largely funded by the australian tax-payer. OKAY it's filmed in australia-big deal!!
Not one australian creative is involved in this story about an american hero [of which we endure so many-by way of american cultural imperialism of which australians are truly getting sick of by now] except maybe as extra's. No truly original australian qwriters or artist's just motre americans coming down here to tell us that they're much better than us in every fricken goddamn way. Australian film and australian culture in general get little in the way of benefits except for a few head administrators at executive level who need to validate their KPI's and make-out their doing things for australian film and television[who more than usually are either yanks or poms being employed to manage [stand-over] australian cultural institutions largely for the benefit of again their own nationals!!!!!!!!! greg hoey "Hideous an erotic art world tale"
