I gotta hear each of the songs all the way through about 5-10 times before I can decide if I really like a song or if it should be a big hit, etc. Hard to say based on these short clips. Out of the songs I haven't heard before today I think "Birthday", "International Smile", "Unconditionally" and "This Moment" are pretty good.

When it comes to light, fun, upbeat, feel-good music, Katy is #1…I think that's the reason for her popularity. My only criticism is from what we can hear so far it kinda has that "every song sounds the same" syndrome…yet I know I am still going to enjoy this record. She may not be the #1 vocalist but she is doing something right. Love the shout-out to Santa Barbara's Superica hehe…as a local myself and the food IS delicious there! Even though that song sounds pretty silly so far hehe…kinda a TGIF 2.0 though?

I find that the songs in the album are generally quite similar. But I do find that there are a few `single` worthy songs: ROAR, BIRTHDAY, UNCONDITIONALLY, DARK HORSE, BY THE GRACE OF GOD :) My personal opinion though :p
