The show is ending because it's under-performing in the ratings; it would have been canceled, which is no secret. So no one needs to try passing this off as Murphy's choice. So shut up, ape face. I'm delighted this loser show is ending.

Dear Truthinator, you're rather unpleasant aren't you. I, for one love Glee and will miss this show when it leaves, there is not enough quality tv. This show has connected many high school kids to know that they are ok no matter what their interest is. You, my freind are a real jerk.

Good call by everyone involved - I have a feeling after the tribute episode, the ratings will fall. General consensus from online is that many people will not be watching the show anymore.

Love the show but this season should be its last. I haven't enjoyed an episode since season 2.

Well the ratings are not exactly stellar.

I knew the show would end after Season 6 because they wanted to make sure that 5 year-syndication rights was complete. That is the only reason why FOX kept it on the air because the ratings have been falling since Season 2.

And that will be the end of Lea Michelle's career.

Re: Gleefan – He's telling the truth. The ratings have been bad since season 2 and they continue to fall. The show is not quality television and if you know people who only let their true selves show because of a crappy TV show, you need new friends.

I agree with a lot of these comments. Yes the rating s are kinda down but in all honestly I feel like the show has become predictable in a way. Its the same formula they win/ make it through sectionals, Win/Lose Nationals, Sue spends the year plotting against them in some way and the rest is relationship fillers. Me personally an no disrespect to Cory but to try and act like the show was many focused on "Finchel" as endgame is a disservice to the rest of the cast and their characters. I have never a Finchel fan fan from day one, so Im not sad that he has to write a knew ending. To me it gives him a chance to write something real and honest and not rainbows and unicorns high school sweethearts make it cliche crap. Cory passing is terrible but its real and it happens and just how Lee Michel will move on Rachel should be able to do the same. But knowing them they'll probably have her mourn and use his death as her motivation to be a star instead of being one for herself.

Glee was really good up to season 3. Season four brought up nothing really for me. The only thing really worth watching for me at least was the finchel reunion if it happened. The show was plummeting to be frank with you. All he gave us was repeats of old characters. It became dull and boring and seen before.

Re: Todd – This, all the freak way! I've always hated how much screen time was wasted on Finchel. Rachel is a terrible character and I'm glad Finchel won't be end game (I do feel bad about the life couple). Now I have to deal with this bogus Jarley who freaking sucks! Season four just introduced bad clones of the original characters and recycled plots. Too many characters were underdeveloped for my liking. I say get rid of Marley as the lead singer for McKinley Glee club because she's too bland!

I guess I'm just kicking the dead horse with all these other comments. But Glee ending has nothing to do with Cory's death. it's almost mean to blame it on him. I knew Glee was ending when season 4 started. I thought Season 5 would be the last season since it's gone so downhill and I was totally shocked there will be a season 6. After Cory's death, I hoped they would cancel the idea of a 6th season just because the show is so awful now it's going to be painful to watch another two seasons.

Re: Kicking the dead horse – It was pushed past 5 seasons for syndication. If the show can continue to air after its official end that means more money for Ryan Murphey

I think it is a great run for Glee and completely agree with it ending after Season 6-though the rating may be falling they have a ton of followers no matter what one may think (songs on itunes, etc is big revenue). I have been frustrated at times with the story lines, but Lea Michele and her beautiful voice is the reason I tune in and buy songs, etc. It is saddening that Finchel will never have their "happy ending", but that is how life is and they The Quarterback episode was perfect and I am glad to hear Finn will not be forgotten in the show as it continues….
