Ben Affleck Thought He Was Wrong For Batman Too! See His "Reluctant" First Reaction HERE!

It's putting it mildly to say a lot of people weren't sure about Ben Affleck being cast as the new Batman.

Fans had grown to love Christian Bale in the role in director Christopher Nolan's trilogy, so when Ben was announced as the next Dark Knight in Zack Snyder's upcoming sequel to Man Of Steel, the Internet sounded off over the decision.

But the truth is, Ben wasn't too keen on the idea himself at first either! He says:

"Initially, I was reluctant, as I felt I didn't fit the traditional mold, but once Zack showed me the concept, and that it would be both different from the great movies that Chris and Christian made, but still in keeping with tradition, I was excited.

Doing something different and new is always tricky and part of the thrill and the risk is that initially it confounds expectations. The truth is, it's the movie and the execution of it is what all the actors depend on and I believe in Zack's vision."

Well, after The Town and the Oscar-winning Argo, we believe in Ben's vision!

And if he says it's going to be good, we've got his back - even if it's covered in a big, black cape.

Amazing that any studio would hire him for any role
I just watched him in a film with Russell Crowe, and Helen Mirren, who both gave great performance, than you have Ben who looks so forced and unnatural
I think the only good thing about a bad actor is, that it makes us realize what good acting is all about

Regardless of the Affleck casting, it's just too soon to reboot. Christian Bale is still fresh in our minds, Christian Bale who won an *acting* Oscar and did an amazing job and, with Nolan's help, re-invented the superhero movie to something much cooler. Now they're just selling out. Throw a box-office name on it, toss him in there with Superman, and add 3 FUCKING HOURS of CGI and the destruction of a city in there and they think they have a movie. BAD IDEA.

He's a pretty good actor and seems like a nice father to his girls. However to me Superman will always and forever be the late, great Christopher Reeve. So sorry yet another remake I will not be watching.
