edna krabappel marcia wallace passes away

Sad news today.

Marcia Wallace has been a legend in Hollywood as a star on The Bob Newhart Show and most famously as the voice of The Simpsons' character Edna Krabappel.

It is reported that Marcia has been ill for the last few months and passed away with her family by her side in Los Angeles. It is unclear what she might have been ill with, but she was 70 years old at the time of her passing.

Our thoughts are with the actress' loved ones during this difficult time.

They are not killing her charcter off of Simpsons a spokesman said. However, Mrs. Krabappel will be retired from the show.

Well I guess that explains why they are killing off her character. RIP

I agree she was a good actress and while I did not watch The Simpsons, I did love her on the Bob Newhart show.
RIP and condolences to her friends and family.
