As law enforcement agencies continue their investigation into the horrific shooting that occurred today LAX, more details are coming to light.
FBI sources are identifying 23-year-old Paul Ciancia as the suspected gunman currently in police custody after this morning's violent incident.
According to some sources, the suspected shooter also carried with him a note that expressed a dissatisfaction with government. Apparently the note also implied he had no desire to hurt innocent bystanders, which fits with other reports from witnesses who say they overheard the suspect asking folks whether or not they worked for the TSA.
It's still unclear why this man was apparently so displeased with the government in general and/or the TSA specifically, but, either way, the effects of his alleged actions are absolutely devastating.
Multiple sources reported one male TSA agent was indeed shot and killed by the suspect and that a second agent was also shot. It's unclear whether or not the second agent was included in UCLA Medical Center's earlier reports on the wounded.
The airport is slowly but surely resuming it's normal operations, but Terminal 3 remains closed and many areas are still swarmed with law enforcement officials and heavy delays are expected for most travelers.
We will obviously keep you up to date with this horribly sad situation as more details come into focus.
Our sincerest thoughts and well wishes continue to go out to all of those affected by this tragedy.
