The newest addition on The View is DEF here to stay!
Jenny McCarthy took her seat at the table this season after the departure of Joy Behar and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. But some said J. Mack just wasn't cutting it as a co-host!
Barbara Walters doesn't care what they say — she's speaking out in a new interview and declaring that Jenny is EXACTLY what the show needed in its 17th season!
"The chemistry now is good. The chemistry is different. Jenny McCarthy I think brings such light and fun to the show. I think the criticism about her was unfair. And it was criticism about her that had to do with her personal views."
She's of course talking about Miss McCarthy's controversial viewpoint on the link between child vaccinations and autism, which Jenny's son suffered from.
The 84-year-old news vet though knows that having different opinions and stances is what has made her show so great for so long!
She also discussed how she has always been a champion of women in TV and how she's launched some of her previous View co-hosts into superstardom. Barbara said:
"I have always been a big booster of other women. I've always worked with other women. And if I have any legacy, that's it. And I'm very proud of that."
Well, we think Barbara hit another home run in choosing Jenny!
We always make sure to take a little time to enjoy The View!
