Re: kelly – well technically, prostitution is legal. EVERYWHERE. I have never in my life ever heard of a man getting arrested for asking some girl he knows who lives down the street "so, you are poor and I have money. How about we become symbiotic friends. I'll pay some of your monthly rent and you give me sex. Deal?". The government cant catch regular people exchanging money in private behind closed doors. No psychic powers. They can only catch street walkers because they are "above ground". Prostitutes probably only account for 4% of girls who have taken money for sex from some guy.

While prostitution is totally legal in Brazil (yes, it is true: there are no laws forbidding adult prostitution, even though it is illegal to operate a brothel or to employ prostitutes in any other way), damaging private property is most definitely NOT.
It was ironic he spray-painted "Respect Privacy" in someone else PRIVATE property.
And how much of a douchebagery is it to spray-paint walls while protected by body-guards?!
    What a spoiled little brat!

Why is it assumed he had illigal sexual activity with prostitutes? Prostitution is legal in Brazil. furthermore, if what he did could subject him to arrest[that won't happen], why don't they go after the guy[one of the paps]who sprayed painted over his graffiti? Grafitti is permitted in some areas and he and his companions taught it was in that place, a simple misunderstanding.

  9. ivan says – reply to this

again if its illigal, why don't they go after that pap who spray painted over it?

The O Globo newspaper reported that photographers snapped photos of Bieber as he painted graffiti on a wall of the former Hotel Nacional in Rio de Janeiro Tuesday morning.

As a brazilian, I feel very offended by this post.
Prostitution is not legal, nor is tagging - if you don't have a permit. Yet, both exist still as in most countries in the world, yours included. However, it wasn't one of our own, that showed the absolute lack of respect towards women; who broke the law to fullfill some misguided sense of self-importance. And to the writer of this post, seems lovely that you choose to ignore all this, its very cute really, as long as it sells news of the wild child in the exotic country. Such a shame.

Prostitution is not legal here in Brasil (yeah, with an s). But, Bieber is already legal here, because you reach majority by the age of 18.

Well done, Rebecca!!

Prostitution is not illegal in Br; sorry to those who think otherwise. It's within the personal liberty of the individuals to do whatever the hell they want with their own bodies - which includes providing sexual services.
What is illegal is to profit from sexual services of others - that goes form pimps to brothels. In the case, the "club" the little brat went is not (officially) responsible for the prostitutes who get their clients there; SO the club isnt breaking any law, nor are the girls, and nor is the asshole.
Damaging someone else's propriety, on the other hand, is illegal. But this crime in particular doesnt support prison penalty - he'll be persecuted and pay a fine. And that'll be about it - which sucks, because it wont be nearly enough for him to learn how to be less of a douche…

This idiot has spiraled completely down the drain.

You might as well see him crash and burn soon, because this atrocious behaviour makes me hate him more than I ever thought I could, which is disappointing. I'd been rooting for him to clean up his act. He's a TOTAL ignorant obnoxious little shit who let fame get to his head and thinks the world plays by his rules.

He needs help. This plus his drug addiction and impregnating random women makes me cringe. I feel so awful for his fans and his mother. The fans who dare make excuses for their popstar's behavior and lifestyle sadly refuse to see how far gone he is… o_o

Re: twizzD – It's got to be the people around him, winking and nudging and sanctioning all this crap. Seeing prostitutes isn't normal. Most women wouldn't give a second look at a guy who sees prostitutes if they know about it. Too tawdry and risky.
A gold digger, on the other hand, wouldn't care.

This is a country that is known world wide for having corrupt police and military forces. Brazil just wants Justin to pay $$$ for the privilege of playing in their country.. A nice big fat check and they will roll out the red carpet for him the next time he comes back. No doubt it probably was handled already. The police forces in Rio are known as being one of the world's most corrupt police forces on the planet. I'm curious if this particular police chief is among one of those accused of turning a blind eye to the corruption. Nothing will ever happen to Justin, money talks and that is just the way it is there in Brazil.

Re: perez posse superfan 777 – Up Yours! Justin Bieber has worked hard for everything he has since he was 14 years old. Nothing was ever handed to him! He grew up in poverty, and has supported those in need. What a stupid comment to make from a true idiot who has no clue what he hell they are talking about! Everything he has he worked hard for and earned! Maybe if you had any sense of what it is like to have a strong work ethic you wouldn't bash him for his.

Re: twizzD – Wow! Just Wow!… It seems you are the one who has spiraled out of control…. I mean seriously look at your comments! Accusing Justin Bieber of causing pregnancies??? Accusing Justin Bieber of being a drug addict just because he was caught smoking some weed!!!! His fans don't need to defend him from delusional twits like yourself because you are doing a good job on your own making yourself out to be bat shit crazy!!!

  31. Peyton says – reply to this

    31

He is not only making a fool out of himself, he is making fools out of his fans. Some of the comments trying to defend him are just delusional. I understand many of them are young and naive. This is not the way normal, emotionally stable young men act. He seems to have no concept of the word "respect" unless he feels wronged and arrogantly demands people show him respect. It does not work that way. He is going to disrespect the wrong person…or group of people, and will be lucky if the only thing he loses is his career.

there's a TV news called "Jornal Nacional" in Brazil. That's the most important tv news here…. Yesterday we could see an interview with the Police Chief on this event saying that Justin DID has permission to do the paintings ….. the only problem is that they had booked a place in a 'Favela' for him to do the paintings, but as they were at the dawn and the place was dangerous, they decided to paint a wall of another place near the 'Favela'. That was a misunderstood….. Police have said that there is no possibility of arrest Justin if he returns to Brazil. Actually, we root for him to come back, he will be very welcome!!

Amazing what the huge public interest in everything Justin Bieber has been in Brazil.. When was the last time a superstar like Justin Bieber made the news all over the country in Brazil? Good or bad news, Justin Bieber has been news every day there.
