Great news, a more serious photo would have been more appropriate though.

  2. 2

Another sad day for America as the degeneration of our ethos continues.

  3. 3

Yeah but can't blame anyone for firing your ass if you wear THAT to work…

  4. 4

No but seriously Mario, why would you choose that picture? Are you trying to say it SHOULD be okay for a man to dress that way in the working place if they're gay? that's exactly what people will think when they see this. Like fuck, instead of furthering something positive for the acceptance of gays, you choose to basically ridicule it. Just fucking sad.

Let's see how fast the Democrats want this bill passed if this guy in the leather jock strap showed up for work in THEIR OFFICE. Hmmmmm, not so fast.

It's ridiculous to pass a law mandating that costumed freaks have the right to work in anybody's office and you can't fire them. Since when is it ok to wear a costume and look like your trolling for sex while at the work place. These Dems are really screwing with America now.

Re: The Truthinator – Agreed. I don't want raping muff-divers anywhere near me at work!

Re: jsqtsa – According to this law, YES you could get sued for firing this guy if he showed up for work looking like this. Discrimination dontcha know.

Perhaps the unnatural creatures should accept that normal people are repulsed by their disgusting abnormal behaviour and selfishness in spreading around fatal diseases like AIDS. I will ALWAYS be homophobic no matter what anyone says and you deviants have NO right forcing your disgusting ways onto others at all (and I'm an atheist so this has nothing to do with religion either). Rug-munchers are the worst, they rape every girl they see.

  11. 11

thats the new obama America. now religious organizations must employ queers, provide birth control and pay for abortions. so much for Freedom of Religion.

Expect the rape statistics to rise.

Like Gay Marriage, the lawyers will be the big winners here
Over the years I have worked at jobs in retailing where employees have
have filed complaints against management claiming, they didn't like me because I'm Hispanic, or Black, or I'm a woman
None of it true just people who were late, dishonest, lazy who did not do their jobs
Now we can add some Gays to the list of victims who instead of doing their jobs, look for an easy payout

Re: The Truthinator – "we need to force them back into the closet so they stop polluting society." - Agreed.

I'm all for gay rights, but it is people dressed like this that give gays a bad name. If you wanted to be treated with respect and dignity, don't go to Washington (or anywhere for that matter) dressed like a back room sex shop pervert.

  16. 16

Congrats for those who this impacts (although I agree the guy in the picture would be tossed from my former workplace in a red hot minute).

Off topic - how about fixing the healthcare problem? I just read on Yahoo this am about millions of Americans (mostly retired or self employed) losing benefits because of some loophole. My plan is OK, but my neighbor is not and will have to rely on straight Medicare, which will cost her a lot on Part B.

Ok people–Perez is stupid/smart. He used the guy in the picture just to get attention. I'm as straight as they come, but I do not believe anyone should be discriminated for thier sexuality. The inane, stupid and hateful remarks below only show that he got the attention he wanted in the first place. But he did all gays a disservice by putting the picture of the nearly naked black guy on the site because he is completely irrelevant. But again he got exactly the reaction he wanted–to make himself seem controversial and mainstream at the same time. Remember this is the idiot who thought getting naked a la Miley counted as a Halloween costume.

  19. 19

Now why in hell would you choose to post a pic like this for this serious news story?! Looks more like some kind of gay porn bill was passed instead! Honest to God, this picture only keeps negative stereotypes of the gay community going Perez. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

  20. 20

This picture is exactly why the majority of American's dislike the LGBT movement. I don't care to see such a lewd display from either sex. A huge football type male dressed like a SM asshole this is just disgusting as something Lady GaGa would dress up as.

The Employment Non Discrimination act is one thing.
Indecent exposure laws are another. Is it legal for people to walk around like that?

  22. 22

Why do they have to wear things like that? do you imagine if you are with your children and you walk on someone like that?? seriously I don't care if he is straight or not!

  23. 23

WTF perez, no wonder everyone hates us. You're talking about a serious bill and then put a picture like this up. Even I can't take that shit seriously when you roll out pictures from pride that even I a gay person think are too much and redic. No wonder ppl fucking hate us. Work for your people not against them, stop posting inflammatory shit like this, be an advocate for us, not against us with this bullshit. We don't need this, or a picture of some guy with a dick drawn on his face. Be honorable, be classy, think. Work with the movement, don't just try and draw attention to yourself

Re: BEING GAY IS WRONG – I suspect your comment is more for reaction, rather than your actual beliefs, so it's needless to say that not all gay/lesbian people are 'rapers', bitchy or whatever other stereotype you can think of. That's just like saying all Muslims are terrorists, or all white people are racist: everyone's individual.

  25. Calvin says – reply to this

I understand why some people would say that being gay is unnatural. After all, one would assume that the whole point of our existence is to reproduce. However, surely if homosexuality was truly unnatural then no one would even be gay; no one would want to be penetrated anally by another man or fondled by another women. But clearly that is not the case and I highly doubt anyone grows up with the conscious intention of becoming gay, especially with the all the negative stereotypes and general hate attached to it, and so we must conclude that it is just something that some people are - whether it be the result of biological or environmental factors.
My main point here is that it's fine not to agree with the lifestyle, but there's no point in strongly opposing the people that live it. No one understands the pain and self hate one feels repressing their true feelings. Doing so causes serious psychological problems and is more than likely the reason we have so many nutters around spreading violence and hate. Denying homosexuality is denying freedom.
And for the record, I myself am not gay, although for many years I was curious but denied that I was which led me to become severely depressed (got me down every time I had a gay thought etc). After so much, I decided to accept it. This led to me becoming close to another guy which soon made me realise that I actually much preferred women sexually. Now I'm happy married to my beautiful wife.

The problem with any law that protects anyone really is it can always be exploited. How many times have incompetent morons, or overall crappy workers who constantly show up late, etc have been fired only for them to turn around and say "I was fired because.."

It's easy for a gay guy, black guy, woman to turn around and say they were fired for that to earn easy money via a lawsuit..
