Isla Fisher Allegedly Told Julianne Hough To "Wipe Her Face Off" During Halloween Blackface Debacle!

At least someone was in their right mind!

Isla Fisher knew Julianne Hough's blackface Halloween costume was going to cause quite the stir, so she supposedly attempted to diffuse the situation!

Both actresses showed up to a costume party on October 25th, and Isla was reportedly "mortified" at the Dancing With the Stars alum's ensemble!

A source revealed the Wedding Crashers starlet was so shocked at the Orange Is the New Black getup, she told Miz Hough:

"Go to the bathroom and wipe [your] face off."

Although Isla's rep denies her client's involvement, the source continued, saying:

"Isla hoped she got to Julianne before photos were taken."

Obviously, she couldn't get to her in time because pics and harsh criticism began making the rounds on the internet immediately, forcing Jules to issue an apology!

Many stars have defended the Safe Haven actress' character — but her costume was still so wrong in many ways!

She should've taken the advice, for realz!

so it's okay for black people to dress up as white people for comedy (white chicks), but a white person can't dress as a black character without being called a racist.
the fact that there's even controversy over this is racist.
the color of your skin doesn't make you special. people need to chill the fuck out.

Really Isla, it's all about you????
Fuck off. Julianne was dressed as a character. Black people should get over themselves.

the thing is, it was mostly white people offended by this.
most black people, except for the ones that call racism every chance they get, are really chill with shit like this.

Its Halloween and she was depicting a character!
If she was dressed as the genii in Aladdin would it be racist if she painted herself blue? Or if she went as the Grinch and painted herself green? Or a Gisha? Pa-Lease! This was NOT 'black face' or "sambo".

Usually Perez is an idiot on most topics and this is NOT one of them. You people are stupid. The people commenting it's not racist and BLAHBLAHBLAH. Of course it's racist and Julianne should be ashamed as should all of you.
BLACK FACE IS WRONG. DRESSING UP AS A NATIVE AMERICAN IS WRONG. AND if you don't understand that, you're a bigot. Plain and simple.
As someone who is not white, stop dressing as cultures that you are not.
    Not for Halloween, not ever.

It's not racist. People are getting butt-hurt over paint! It's your racist mind that believes a costume like this is racist, so get over your insecurities! It's not like she was walking around and using the "N" word and using every word from the Ebonics dictionary. I'm a brown-skinned woman and this doesn't offend me, so fuck off haters!

Haven't you beaten this story to death? It is not racist and most other sites stopped reporting on it at least a day or two ago.

Which narrow-minded idiots gave Julianne flak for this costume? I think it's just you, Perez. I think we should start defining the word "costume" again.

The definition of racist is someone who thinks their race is superior to others or discrimination or prejudice based on someone's race.
Julianne was NOT dressing as a black person to minimize that person or be mean but as someone who really likes the character that she dressed as. She was not doing it to put someone down. Stop using the word to apply it to anything and everything. I was not offended by it. I like crazy eyes from OITNB, she's hilarious. And Julianne has said she loves crazy eye's too. And anyone who disagrees with me is a racist. (see how easy I can throw it out there too.)
