Demi gives me strength to believe everything is going to be ok. That things always aren't going to be ok.. but sooner or later it will be better. She taught me that it ok to be your self, to wear what you wanna wear and dont let the bullies, and everyone else chirping in your matter. & just to be yourself.

Demi inspires me through her music. From Warrior and Skyscraper to Believe in Me, the lyrics really speak to me and help me get through the rough times of my own life. Her perseverance and continuing triumph over her struggles make me reach and hope for the best that I can be!

Well basically she's just so amazing, and incredibly inspiring. Just the way that she has helped so many girls and boys all over the WORLD.
We've shared pretty much the same issues, so when she came out with her story I felt like I wasn't alone. I felt like I was worth a better life. She did it, so I guessed I could too.
She's been strong for soo long now, and I aspire to be just as strong as she is.

Being a lesbian in a small town is NOT easy. While Demi wasn't around while I was growing up there (because we're around the same age) I have still carried a lot of those struggles with me. About 3 years ago i started reading more about Demi, how she has responded to people who have constantly critisized her, and how she always always always rises above. I decided to do that for myself as well and now I'm happy, healthy and getting ready to propose to my girlfriend of 3 years! Now more than every with her playing Santana's love interest on Glee she is inspiring to me. Not just because she's playing a lesbian on TV but because she's not making a big deal about the fact that she's playing a lesbian. She just wants it to be normal and accepted and as natural as Mike and Tina's asian fusion love! I would love to win this book as a reminder that at 26 I don't know everyting and life will still keep throwing curveballs at me. But that it's important to rise above the haters and give back LOVE. C'mon Perez, pick me!

Demi inspires many including myself just by being honest about the struggles she has gon thru in her like. I love how open she has been about it all. It shows people like me that it will get better. She is amazing!!

Demi has inspired me so much by first showing me just how beautiful I am on the inside and out and that I am worth living and that no matter what life throws at you, you can overcome anything and stay strong through that. Demi's music has also touched me in a way no one can know, she is taking a risk by barring her soul in her songs. She is such a natural talent and has a wonderful singing voice that will only get better with time.
Also Demi has taught me to be much more charitable with my life and look at life as someone without what you have everyday and to be thankful to God and blessed with whatever you have because overnight it might be gone. Demi is such a role model for everyone in the world, so humble and she doesn't party or set any bad examples for people. Demi's strength is amazing for all what she has been through she is always so strong and keep on fighing the good fight. I am blessed to have a piece of demi's clothing and winning this book would be a wonderful addition to my collection.

I went through battling self harming, depression, and anxiety at the same time as Demi also came out about her struggles as well. I lived in shame and hid my fight from everyone in my life. When she came out so honestly to the world, it inspired me in so many ways. I learned that talking about my difficult time made me stronger. I should not live in shame but should be proud to recognize my problems and take action. I am now 2 1/2 years free of self-harming and no longer hiding behind my illness. It's comforting to have a public figure who can be the voice of something so many young women are dealing with in private. Thank you, Demi, you have made a huge impact on my life and inspire me! Because of your example I know it does get better!

There is one quote that demi says constantly that has been a driving force for my life recently. Demi always says “It is still hard, and I still have bad days, but I take everything one day at a time”. That quote hit home with me. I have learned through Demi to just be myself and don’t pay attention to what people say about me. I am in college and I have recently came out to my family and friends. It was really difficult but I knew that if I just took everything one day at a time, and not focus on the negative things in my life everything will be all right. thank you demi for giving me the gift of happiness

  10. demi's warrior says – reply to this

Demi has taught me to believe in my self everyday and that although life can be so tough at times, things will get better. The power of her music inspires me to get rise above my troubles and carry on. I absolutely love her for making me feel beautiful within my skin and learn to love myself. She is such an amazing role model and this signed book would mean the absolute world to me

  12. 12

I have struggled with weight issues my entire life. Demi has taught me to embrace my body and has showed that you can still look and feel sexy and confident without being stick thin and showing tons of skin. I'm in love with her style and her mantra and would be honored to have a signed copy of her book to keep me going.

By publicly opening up about her struggles with self harm, eating disorders, etc., Demi has inspired me to stay strong. At 15 I was diagnosed with depression and went into treatment for that and self harm. As I recovered, I found myself wondering if anyone else felt the things I was feeling. When Demi went into treatment, I was amazed. How could someone who seemingly had it all together, be falling apart at the same time? But then I realized that was exactly what I had been like. Now I am 18 and a freshman in college and I look to Demi and her music for strength everyday. Recovery isn't always easy, but having a role model like Demi makes it possible to stay strong.

  14. Lorena says – reply to this

Demi and her music has been there for me when no one else was and got me through some really dark times. She gives me strength and she's my rock whenever I'm feeling low. She taught me that it's okay to feel sad and broken sometimes as long as we know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it is going to be okay in the end.

  15. KC says – reply to this

I find it really inspiring that Demi Lovato came from the Disney Channel, the land of perfection, and showed that she wasn't perfect. It took a lot for her to come out in the public and say what she went through. The fact that she was so open about her eating disorder inspired a lot of people, including myself, to get help. The reason I hid it for so long wasn't because I was scared, it was because I was embarrassed because naturally… you don't think of guys having eating disorders or thinking negatively of their bodies. It's such a stereotype that it only happens to girls, but Demi has always said that she wanted "girls and even guys to get help". Her story has helped me. It has allowed me to stay strong, no matter what my sickness is, no matter what my gender is, no matter what.

  16. LivPPP says – reply to this

She is an inspiration to everyone no matter what age. I would love to win this book to give to my niece who is a young teen currently dealing with struggles. Its always better for young girls to hear it coming from someone who has been through the same thing. This world is full of so much hate and discrimination it makes me sick. That is why young girls are struggling even more now then when I was younger and it breaks my heart. Demi is a GREAT role model.

"I think scars are like battle wounds - beautiful, in a way. They show what you've been through and how strong you are for coming out of it " - Demi Lovato

I have had Thyroid Cancer for the past 3 years and every 5 mths I end up having to go through surgery and radiation treatment. Everytime I go to the hospital I hear nothing but bad news and because of the constant surgery I have on my neck I have a big well shown scar. The scar on my neck at first felt as a bad reminder of the cancer I have and the fact it will probably just get bigger as I get more surgery and look so ugly and everyone will stare and ask me questions more than they already do. They are days I feel weak inside and ugly outside and want to just give in … but when Demi said this very quote my thoughts changed for the better. Now everyday I see my scar I wear it proudly! Demi has taught me that my scar is beautiful .. I am beautiful and it shows how strong I am for fighting my battle that I am going to overcome one day !! And now before I go into surgery.. when i wake up every morning or when I just need reassurance to keep fighting I read this very quote and feel so much more stronger and beautiful .

Since day 1 of her career Demi has been my inspiration. She's such an amazing soul and I'm so happy and blessed to have found her and there's a special connection that I feel everytime she speaks or sings. She gives me inspiration to motivate myself to do better and BE better. I watched her documentary months back and I still think back on it and it inspires me to get through the tough times, because being young is hard sometimes. I hope to be able to think back to her book in that same way. Remembering little sentences and knowing that sometimes they're what keeps you going. Because she has that impact on me and she means so much to me.

  19. Kelsey says – reply to this

Nobody understands how much Demi inspires me. I have gone through so much, and she has helped me get through it. I was severely bullied when I was 14 years old. Her music helped me to not commit suicide. She saved my life.

I also have been battling my own demons. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with an eating disorder, and lost 30 pounds. Again her music helped me get through it.

This past summer I was diagnosed with bulimia. She helped me.

She is my inspiration in life. I have gone through so much, and she has gone through the same thing. To have someone out there that has gone through the same thing, is so inspiring. She is my role model and I will continue to support her through thick and thin.

That book wouldn't be for me but for my sister who's been going through a lot of issues right now. She grew up with Demi and look up for her as a role model and I know that a lot of her days are very hard. So if the book can light up a little bit of her day every day, she might finally see the beauty in herself and in life in general.

  21. Lydia says – reply to this

Where should I even start? Being 7 years younger than Demi, I first noticed her on Disney Channel, like most kids my age. I didn't think much about her, but I loved her music, and i remember wanting to be like her. I forgot about her for a while, and being 10 at the time, I had no idea she was going in to treatment. When I eventually found out, I was shocked. Because I was going through the same things. Demi has been there for me, and guided me when all i saw was darkness, through her music, her speeches, but mostly just by being herself. She shows me that it will get better, that I'm worthy of life and she shows me love. I've battled self harm, depression, anxiety and an eating disorder. When Demi became vocal about her struggles, i instantly felt like we bounded. Like she knew i existed, and knew i was hurting. Thanks to her I'm alive today. Thanks to her I still haven't lost hope. I know her songs by heart, and i know exactly when she was born, but it's not about that, It's about her inspiring me to keep going.

She's my rolemodel, she's what I aspire to become for people.

  22. Sydney says – reply to this

Demi inspires me to be proud of who I am. I am 15 years old, a girl and I am an LGBT teen. For a while, I really wasn't comfortable about who I was. For a while, I tried to be something that I'm not. I have no idea what Demi is, sexuality wise, and it doesn't matter. She makes me feel comfortable with who I am. What she said about her role on Glee as Dani, a bad-ass lesbian, almost made me cry. She said "Focus on the fact that having a young, multicultural lesbian couple on prime time is a huge step in our generation. It’s showing people that it’s okay to be who you are. Don’t be ashamed of it." Demi is an amazing role model to me and millions of others. Demi is my inspiration.

I've been struggling through depression since I was 7 due to both emotional abuse and bullying in school. I first self-harmed myself when I was 11, and the pain has gotten to the point where it was so much that I tried taking my own life when I was only 13. The only thing that stopped me from ending my own life that day, was Demi Lovato, her song Skyscraper was released that day and I listened to it and it honestly saved my life, and I'm so glad it did. Now I'm 15, and I'm almost 15 months clean from self-harm (Since August 17th, 2012), and the only person I have to thank is Demi, shes my only reason I stayed strong and continue staying strong everyday of my life.

  24. Marley says – reply to this

Demi inspires me to work hard to achieve my dreams, she once said that while you rest other people is getting an advantage on you and that you should fight hard for what you love. I've had people my whole life judging me for who I am and telling me to be someone I'm not, and they've said it so many times that I started to lose myself, but Demi has taught me that you should be proud of who you are and that no matter how difficult the situation might seem, it's eventually gonna be okay. I wish so bad I had her book ’cause I know it would inspire me day by day just like her music does to continue growing as a person and a singer, I just hope for the day I meet her and tell her how much she has helped and inspired me.

  25. courtney says – reply to this

Demi inspires me because of the person that she is and what she does. For saying she's only 21 years old, she influences people to do the right thing and to be a better person. With everything that she has been through in her past she still manages to keep a smile on her face and stay strong, and I know that because she got through her problems - I can get through mine. She is truly amazing and she believes in every single one us Lovatics. If it wasn't for her I honestly do not think I'd be here right now. She's saved me from me. She's saved my life. She gives me strength and I love her so much.

  26. Meg says – reply to this

Personally, I've experienced a lot of the same things that Demi has, her going to treatment and sharing her story inspired me to do the same. I sought help for some of my issues and in a way, Demi saved my life, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't of had any motivation to. Seeing her healthy and happy inspires me each and every day, to keep going and stay strong. Her and her music reassures me that I'm not alone and that everything will be okay in the end.

  27. Kristen says – reply to this

Demi has inspired me by showing me that i am stronger than i thought i was. I used to be shy and let people walk all over me and bully me. Its hard to open up to everything on the internet like this but ever since Demi has spoken up about everything it has inspired me to eat, drop the habit of smoking cigarettes and has given me an escape other than harming myself or getting angry. I can relate to every single one of her songs in some way. I even have a nightingale made out of music notes tattooed on my shoulder with her lyrics "can you be my nightingale". Without Demi I would be way more underweight than i am, still smoking and getting angry or hurting myself.

  28. 28

I'm glad she is an inspiration to so many people, but when I read these comments I can't help thinking that some people have no idea what having it hard is really all about. Girls in Afghanistan get shot for wanting to go to school, women in the Congo are getting raped as an act of war, the people of the Philippines are struggling with a natural disaster. The list goes on and on. We are so lucky to be born in North America! If your hardship is how you feel about your body, or depression, or self esteem, you are really fortunate compared to some people in the world who struggles for basic needs. I really don't mean to undermine anyone's struggle, but come on - stop navel gazing, look at all the positives in your environment, and feel lucky for what you have.

Demi is the most amazing woman on the planet. She has honestly saved my life. Being a 14 year old girl and going to school and getting judged every day isn't easy. Having no confidence and having low self esteem just makes it even worse. But Demi, she makes me feel better. She makes me believe that the trouble and the problems I have right now, are gonna end, and they're gonna get better. As soon as I switch on the TV and see her and hear her voice, its like I'm almost healed. I'm here for her. I honestly do not know what I'd do without her. She's saved me, and if it wasn't for her I don't think I'd be here today. She has had so many problems in the past and to see her smiling and staying strong it just makes me smile. She inspires me in a way that nobody could ever inspire me, she helps me stay strong and believe in myself.

Demi taught me that love is louder than the pressure to be perfect and that everyone is beautiful in their own way. And even though she can’t be here for us all the time, her music and her voice are always here for us no matter what. Her love is like a star we can’t always see her but we know that she’s always there for us. And knowing that we can always count on her is what makes me strong. She made it through the darkest moments that anyone could have ever gone trough so why can't I?

For years I felt so horribly about my curves as a Latina and that along with the depression from other things in my personal life had me in a very dark place. Demi portrays a realistic view of women and showed me that it is ok to admit your insecurities and rise above them by accepting yourself and seeking help. Being a performer myself, her story is one that inspires me to be comfortable and confident in my skin, along with trying to maintain a positive frame of mind because it is more enriching to rise above the demons and it can make you stronger.

I dont even know how to describe how much Demi has helped me. I basically grew up with her and i loved her since "As the bell rings". When I found out what she was dealing with I was heartbroken. But she was dealing with in it in such a good way. She inspired me to never give up, no matter what! Cause she's been through so much. And had a lot of the same issues as me. Cutting, depression, bullying and eating disorder. Everything about her is just so amazing and she is so strong! Her music always gives me so much strength, its amazing! I am 25 days clean now, and even though its not that much, I'm proud. Cause thats what Demi always said to me; Be proud of who you are and be strong. You are beautiful no matter what! And thats what I've learned! Im so proud to say that Demi Lovato is my idol! And no one can change that! Even not the haters! And people who say that Demi shouldn't be giving advice to people because of what she's has done: She is the perfect person to give advice. Because she has been on the bottom and knows what it takes to get to the top. The struggles she was dealing with is very normal and she is the perfect role model to people like that! To anyone! Because everyone has bad days and everyone should take her advice and never give up! Because I've been at the bottom and now I'm rising from the ground. Like a skyscraper! Like a warrior! And you can never take that from me! Because I love my self! And its all because of Demi Lovato! #lovaticsforever

I harm myself, I sometimes couldn’t control myself.. Demi deal with it, she win it so why couldn’t I.. Unbroken is the best record ever! I’ve learned by heart every single word from skyscraper and I believe “I will be rising from the ground”! My father wants to break me every single day but after a fight I sit on my bed listen to skyscraper and I’m becoming stronger every day. I believe everybody on the earth have a soulmate, have an angel who will help us through life. And I belive Demi is my angel, my lifesaver. I believe one day my dream will come true and she will find out what she have done for me, what she is doing every single day. Demi Lovato has proved to me that everyone fights their own battles but there is always sunshine after the rain. She has shown that it is possible to get through anything if you are surrounded by people who love you and you are true to yourself. Demi has become a role model to me and has inspired me to not pay attention to the negatives in life and not to let them tear me down. Life is about focusing on the good and enjoying every minute of happiness. Her determination to be true to herself is a constant reminder to be confident and thankful in everything life hands me. She inspires me to stay strong and love myself and all of my flaws. She does not claim to know everything and goes through life learning and teaching others. One of her greatest lessons in my opinion is that "Love is louder than the pressure to be perfect." -Demi Lovato. Demi Lovato has changed my life and has saved me from myself.

Demi has been through so much and by sharing her stories and music with all of us, she sends a message that adversity may come our way but its okay, you can get through it, just have the faith to believe that and stay strong. Like many other victim's, I was bullied in middle school and High school because I didn't dress and act like all the popular girls, but Demi taught me that the world can be a cruel judge, but all that matters in the end is that I am always the best person I can possibly be. Rather than letting people still bring me down today, I let my faith and confidence show, and it doesn't bother me the way it did, thanks to Demi. If everyone could be inspired by Demi's positive attitude and her music the way she has inspired me, we could put all the bullies out of commission because there would be no victims to bully! If you are having a hard day and don't know what to do, just sit back, put on Demi's music and listen to the words. It helped me and it can help you too. Thank you Demi for doing everything you've done and continuing to help people all over the world. :)

Demi gives me the inspiration to keep going in life even when there are many obstacles in the way. Through her music, she helps me believe in myself and that I will get through my issues. The many forms of ways she has helped others whom have experienced the same things she has, gives me the aspiration to do the same through my education, I want to be able to reach out to people that have substance abuse problems and help make a change through guiding them. Demi's music is a true therapeutic way to relieve any stresses in life and makes a person get up and go through a day in a very positive way.

Demi inspires me because of her strength. I had an eating disorder and I used to cut and hearing Demi's story and hearing her overcome her struggles inspired me so much. Her music has gotten me through such hard times whether it was a break up or I just needed inspiration to feel like I could get through the hard times. Demi's music inspires me to be a strong woman, strong in my relationships and she inspires me to be strong for my sisters and set an example for my sisters the way Demi has set an example for her fans. Demi inspires me to be strong because even in my lowest moments I just think to myself if Demi could rise above everything and goes as low as she did and overcome things and be as successful as she is now so can I. Demi inspires me to be strong in what I believe in and not to let negativity sway me. She is such an amazing role model and she has made me so proud of the body I have now and I now realize that I am healthy and that's fine, I don't need to be a 0 to be beautiful. She has helped me truly embrace myself and accept and love myself and not to be afraid of showing who I am to the world. I love Demi so much.

Demi has gave me the strength to get better , her music has gotten me through all the tough times and nights crying through all my pain. I suffer from a serious case of depression since the age of 14 every year got worst for me, by the end of 15 i started to self harm myself for a whole year and then i ended up in the ER and i got hospitalize. I am now 16 and i still suffer from depression and anxiety but not only that I now suffer from brain problems and vision problems. Telling my story is something that I am not ashamed of, I see what Demi is doing and she helped me through all the tough times , Demi is such a inspiration for me and I hope by people reading my story it helps them know that depression will not take over your life, you have to be strong, you have to stay strong <3

Demi has helped me so much. Without her, I honestly don't know where I would be right now. Thanks to her, I am two months clean from self harm. Whenever I have a bad day, I put her music on and all of the bad thoughts just disappear. She has also taught me to love myself no matter what the number on the scale is. I feel such an emotional connection to her that no one else could understand besides her or another Lovatic. My birthday is on November 17th, and all I want is this signed book because I have never met Demi before or gotten a chance to go to a signing at all. I wish I could physically go to the signing, but I don't live in California. Hopefully I can have the best birthday ever by winning this signed book because it would mean the world to me. Thank you!

Demi inspired me to stay strong at a point in my life when I had next to no hope. I'd just lost my mother and it hurt to really do anything. When "Skyscraper" came out, I felt like it had been truly made for me.

Demi just makes my days so much better. Whether it's by listening to a song or watching one of her interviews, she really does have the ability to put a massive smile on my face. Which is something that never used to happen. It is rare that I smile and am genuinely happy, but when I am, the reason is Demi. Also, Demi is helping me improve. She's practically helping me pull through moments of doubt, depression, anxiety and self esteem issues. She makes me feel like I am perfect the way I am, and that I shouldn't change for anyone. She taught me that I'm allowed to be myself, and not let what any one around me is saying effect me. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here trying to achieve my dreams and aspirations of becoming a dancer; Demi makes me want to achieve my dreams and reach for the stars. I've never been so happy in my life, and I've got Demi to thank for that.

Demi Lovato gives me the strength to overcome difficult times and my depression. It sounds silly but she has inspired me to look at things positively and she gives me the courage to overcome my struggles and fears. She was able to not give up after hitting her rock bottom and she's bounced back. If she can do it, I believe so can I.

Demi Lovato is a huge inspiration in my life. I have always loved her but my love for her grew when she openly talked about her struggles with addiction, self-harm, bipolar disorder and bulimia. I don't think any artist has ever been as open about their lives as Demi and it makes me so happy because now i know I am not alone. I also struggle with depression and self-harm. Every time I feel the urge to cut I put Demi's music and think that if she can get through it then so can I. She makes me want to stay strong and be a better person. I honestly can say that I owe my life to Demi, there have been numerous times that I was close to taking my own but the reason I didn't was because of her. She is such an incredible role model and I don't know what I would do without her. I can't wait for her book to come out, I know I will read it every day for inspiration. Winning this would be so amazing! Thank you for this opportunity!

Demi inspires me to stay strong by how open she is with her struggles. In today's age, everyone wants to look perfect so people don't speak about the issues they're struggling with due to fear of judgment or fear of humiliation. But in 80% of the interviews Demi does shes open to talking about not only the hard times she's experienced in the past, but also how she continues to deal with them today. Shes a true inspiration and a real example of things DO get better. And that's what we need, we need hope and Demi supplies we with that hope when things aren't looking so great. Like Demi has said, recovery takes commitment and dedication. At times its hard dealing with our personal struggles, but the fact that Demi overcame her struggles and now represents herself with such class and dignity, I KNOW I can too.

I was going through a tough time when I first began listening to Demi's music. I was bitter, angry, and hurting, but I didn't know it. Listening to her music, made me joyful again. I hear God's blessing in her voice. Her personality in general makes me want to be a better person. She is thoughtful and considerate, but at the same time not perfect, which makes her all the more beautiful. She reminded me that I could be exactly who I am and not feel guilty about mistakes that I have made. She made me have hope again. Thank you Demi.

    Thanks for reading this
    Good Luck other Lovatics !

Demi always says how honest she is, and I truly believe that. As a fellow sufferer I could tell before she came out about it. You can kind of tell. But I think she is raising awareness in a brilliant way. She knows that it's something that you will always deal with, and I also believe that. A relapse is not something to be ashamed of, but instead something to be proud to get through. Relapses happen, the next step is to deal with it rationally, not allow it to send you back in a spiral with no way out. But instead, put it aside and get back on track. My treatment helped me realise these things, Demi publicising them makes it so easy to put into practice.

  57. Patricia says – reply to this

From the start, Demi wasn't afraid to be who she really is and even more so after she went to rehab and faced her demons. She stays true to herself and puts herself first, she doesn't let others influence her to look or act a certain way. It inspires me to be myself and not let other people's opinions choose my path. She also reminds me to enjoy the small things in life and take time to myself when I need it, not forget about what I need and make sure I'm okay before trying to take care of everyone else. Everything she does, she's dedicated 100% and I use that in my life, I pride myself in everything I do. Demi is a real inspiration to me and I look up to her for so much, from following my dreams to small every day life things. She's a great role model and I'm so grateful to have someone like her to be able to look up to.

I decided to take this opportunity not only to win a free book but to put to use as a platform to tell someone how they changed my life. I've always been an extremely creative and outgoing person who loves to express myself. Since I was young, I've always had what I call a "developing sexuality". Due to this, I was always slandered and put down by the people around me. I dealt with a plethora of family issues/dilemmas, social issues amongst peers and a slew of personal traumas that I had to overcome. When I discovered the superstar that is DEMI LOVATO, I found that not only was she a star, but a person. After the public scrutiny she faced and hearing her story, I found that Demi is an inspiration for myself. As a developing actor and musician myself, I see the places Demi came from and her struggles and that pushes me to never give up. Dealing with self-harm as an issue for myself when I was younger, her triumph over self-harm and "STAY STRONG" are reminders that no matter how hard life is and breaks me down, if I persevere, I will make it to the right side. I love you Demi.

Demi has helped me in more ways than I can even begin to explain. I've suffered with bulimia from the age of 13 and when she came out about her issues before/after rehab I started to consider getting help myself. By that time I was 15/16. When she released Skyscraper my mind exploded and I immediately went to the doctors the next day to confess my demons. Afterwards I was assigned to an outpatient rehab program for my eating disorder AND I was diagnosed with bipolar nervosa and depression. Demi's helped me stay strong over these past few years and I cannot imagine what my life would have turned in to if it wasn't for her strength, courage and passion to help herself and desire to help others as well. She's my warrior and she's helped me become a Skyscraper. FOREVER A LOVATIC!

Demi has given me the strength to just want to be myself. I can be totally weird and just be with happy with who I am. There are times when I am feeling down and then I listen to her songs and all of a sudden I feel better. Her story has just inspired me. Hearing how she can have a total breakdown and then she came back from it and now wow she is just amazing! She hit rock bottom and then now she seems better than ever. I guess she inspired me to get out of bed when I hit rock bottom and made me believe in myself!

Demi has been such a role model for me. I have literally grown up watching and listening to her as we are the same age. She has become such a STRONG woman and a inspiration to many young adults, myself included. Seeing her struggle with self-image problems was very important to me as I have always struggled with anorexia. Watching her rise above her issues inspired me to do the same and get help.

Demi inspires me because she has been open about her struggles, etc. She has continued maturing as a woman, and growing into who she wants to be. She is a fighter.

I lost my mother in 2006 due to a heart attack and stroke following a surgery for dialysis. I went through so many changes in my life from adjusting to my fathers multiple marriages, to losing my dream of becoming a top 10 womens tennis player due to a tear in my shoulder, all while battling severe depression/anxiety. I went through a dark patch but I am so proud to say I am doing well and focused on my goals in life. Only 20 years old and looking forward to the future. Thanks Demi for being an inspiration as well as a voice for anyone who struggles with "mental" health issues. I love reading inspirational books and I look forward to receiving Demi's in the mail :)

We have very different lives but through her lyrics I feel moved. I feel like we are best of friends with similar thoughts. And her voice never fails to cause chills up my spine… She's got an amazing set of pipes and sings with such raw emotion which resonates within me… You can't help but believe every single word she sings. She truly is an inspiration.

"Love Is Louder Than The Pressure To Be Perfect" - Demetria D. Lovato
These words have hung & clinged onto my heart a lot over the past few years. When I was in highschool (now Im in college) I experianced enough ins & outs to make me wonder how I can still be here today. But then I look at all that Demi has "done for me" and its not so much a surprise. She gave me hope through her experiance, she gave me strength through her music and she gave me guidance through her actions and words. Thanks to Demi I learned that having someone ACCEPT AND LOVE YOU truely for who you are & WHAT MAKES YOU YOU is worth more than falling into the pressure to be someone else"s perfect. Thanks to Demi I can proudly say I will be getting married next Labor Day weekend because she helped me realize that & guide me to finding someone that loves me for me. Scars, depression, conflicts and all. Demi has insprired me to find what makes me special and embrace it, and for that I will never be able to thank her enough.

I listen to at least one Demi Lovato's song a day. The way she always picks herself up when she struggles and make something positive out of it is something to look up to. Everytime life punch me in the face, I tell myself to make something positive out of it. That every punch is a reason to get back up even stronger and that is what her music and the person she is has teach me. When there is no apparent reason to get back up, find one, and don't think about what anyone else might say about you, because only you can make something out of yourself.

Although Demi inspires me with her incredible courage and openness with her fans regarding her struggles, her words and small actions make her an even more incredible role model for me. Her kindness, love, and loyalty to her family and friends inspires me to be more open and kind to those I love. She has taught me that it is alright to rely on your friends and family, instead of just myself. Her song, "Nightingale," speaks to me more than any other song in the world, and it made me feel completely understood, and it inspired me to open up to a close friend about my personal struggles. She has helped me become more accepting of myself. Knowing that Demi continually battles certain issues helps me as I continually battle mine, but her happiness inspires me to continue enjoying everything else in life.

Demi's story has inspired me because I went through the same situation two years ago. I had anorexia-bulumia and never thought I'd see the light in life. I went to rehab after a year and a half of having the eating disorder and it was hard to talk to anyone about because people don't understand unless they've been through it ya know? Knowing that there was someone out there like Demi that was publicly speaking about her eating disorder and letting the world know that she was going through a process to make her self stronger and to be a better person..just made it that much easier for me to push through in my battle. Since rehab, its still an every day struggle, you just know how to control everything more. Demi's taught me that no matter what society's stereo type is..everyone is beautiful in their own way, and in every way possible. Demi always put out there that she rose above all of the critics out there that looked down on her for her appearance or whatever those low lives thought of her, and because of her courage, I now do the same thing. She's inspired me to be the best person i can be everyday, and to love myself unconditionally.

I have struggled with bullying since 3rd grade. It is an extremley rough path. In 4th grade I discovered Demi. Thats when I knew, I can stay strong. I can get through the pain. I listened to music, and her story. Everything began to make sense. I kept my head high and kept telling my self "Stay Strong for Demi." She is what gives me confidence to feel good about my self and keep going. But Demi is one of wise words, "You never really can fix a heart." Thank you Demi. I look up to you so much. You and your music is always there for me. I couldn't of made it here without you.

Demi Lovato is THE most inspiring woman in Hollywood. Not only is she a powerhouse at singing, but her raw words speak to her audiences and provide a hand to hold and a shoulder to cry on. Her honesty throughout her journey is just one of the reasons I, as well as millions of others, idolize her. Her ability to triumph over her struggles and bounce back with number one hits was EXCEPTIONAL. She assures me that everything will be ok, and is a daily reminder to STAY STRONG. If I am feeling down or depressed, simply listening to her songs lets me know that I am not alone, and gives me strength to move forward. I may not know her personally, but it is so easy to connect with her through her music. The fact that she has now released an inspiring book is incredible. With the release of a new album not too long ago and a newly announced tour, she still had time to sit down and collect inspiring quotes and thoughts because she is THAT dedicated to her fans and THAT determined to save lives. Demi Lovato has inspired me in ways beyond explaining. She is a true hero as well as a true artist, and I will forever be a Lovatic!

To express how much Demi has done for me would take a lifetime but here it is in a nutshell. I have struggled with self-esteem issues for a while now and there have been days where I hate everything about myself and wish I was prettier or skinnier. But when I listen to Demi's music, I am strengthened by the lyrics, and I am strengthened by her stories and how she overcame her struggles with self-esteem. She gives me hope because when I look at her life, I see a story of hope, success, recovery, happiness, and strength. If she made it through her struggles, I know I can too. She is my biggest inspiration and as a singer myself, I hope that one day I will me able to make music and touch as many lives as she has. Even when she is having a bad day, she looks at the positive side of every situation and her laugh and her smile have given so many girls, including me, a reason to live another day. She shows us that our lives have meaning, we are special, and that we have the power to make a difference in the world around us. I know this is a big statement, but I can honestly say she is not only my inspiration, but my hero <3 :)

I started a new college this year, listening to Demi's music on my way helps me to cope with nerves as I'm being bullied by a few girls that like to hit me and stuff. Demi helped me to overcome my "low point" and I'm now free of self harm and have managed to lose 23 lbs(so far)! I can't wait for this book to help me with my motivation. To have her autograph on it would just make me invincible haha! Good luck everyone & STAY STRONG :)

This past year my mother has been really ill and listening to Demi's music gave me strength to be strong around her. She made me believe that everything was going to be okay and it was . Jut telling myself every morning to stay strong and believe things will turn around made me feel so much better. Her story and confidence helped me to feel beautiful in my skin. I know longer wake up in the morning with low self-esteem because I know that Love is Louder then the pressure to be perfect. Not only has her story and music inspired me, her power to save SO many young girl/boys life's makes me happy to look up to her. Demi is my Idol & this is just some of the reason's why.
