Lea Michele's Heart & Soul Are Finally On The Mend After Heartbreaking Loss Of Cory Monteith

| Filed under: GleeLea MicheleCory Monteith

lea michele doing better since losing cory monteith

Time heals all wounds.

And even though that might be a statement you don't believe when something horrible happens, it seems Lea Michele is finally finding that it really is true.

After losing Cory Monteith this summer, Lea has been keeping herself busy with work on Glee and her album. And even though some might have worried that she was taking on too much too soon, it seems her drive has played a big part in healing her broken heart.

A source has revealed that since Cory's tragic passing:

"Lea is doing much better."

We're so happy to hear she's on the mend. It's beautiful that she's been able to talk about her love for him and the unfortunate loss.

It's also beautiful that she continues to pick up the pieces and move forward.

Keep it going, Lea!

How exactly do you mend a broken heart in 16 weeks? After someone you love dies, it takes like FOREVER to heal if ever. I can't see how she could have really been in love. There is no way you can possibly act/work whatever that soon. You can't even BREATHE for the first 6 months.

Re: ForeverWyld – ok really! Lea loved Cory with all her heart it does not have to take like forever to get over someone. RIP Cory

Re: ForeverWyld – I think the writer is assuming too much. She's been able to get up every morning and go to work - there are a lot of people counting on her to do that which might make it easier. What Lea has said is much different from this report, stating it's a daily struggle but she's getting better. People grieve differently, so I don't think it's fair to say that since she does go to work that she wasn't really in love with him.

Re: ForeverWyld – I totally agree, I think it was for show and home gurl is trying to get a career out of it…..looks like she's winning

Who the fuck said she moved on. You all are just assuming she has when in reallity she hasn't and won't for a really long time.

If you didn't hate her for no reason you would not be saying that at all.

Re: ForeverWyld – A good friend of mine was widowed a few years ago. She and her husband had been together since they were 12, married at 19, parents at 23, and he was gone in a tragic accident at 25. He was the ONLY man she had ever loved, and his death destroyed her. But, despite that, she was remarried seven months after his death. She was judged fiercely and harshly. Even I asked her how she could do it. Her response? 'He was my life and I was his. We loved each other more than anything. That's why I was able to move on. He would want me to do this, want me to smile.' Sometimes the best way to honor a lost loved one is to go on. In my opinion, that's what Lea is doing, going on and honoring him by doing so. It's very easy to say you would die for someone. But to go on living for someone when your heart is breaking? That is truly a beautiful thing.

Aww, she's continuing to milk her druggy fuckwit's death. How cute!

No matter how many Beverly Hills plastic surgeons hack-off Lea's humongous JEWISH NOSE…it always grows back…BIGGER & POINTIER!

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me WHAT THE HELL is Lea's TALENT? Milking a dead druggy boyfriend's death for every penny she can squeeze out of it ain't really a "CAREER".

Re: ForeverWyld – I agree. When a loved one died I was a mess for a long time. 16 weeks is kind of soon to be feeling a lot better. To each their own tho.

Re: ForeverWyld – The article says she is "much better", which does not mean she's healed. She is, however, doing the responsible thing and returning to work.

  16. 16

She never gave a damn about him. That's evident from the way she milked his death for attention.

Re: Zaina – Agree and bluntly well put. Lots of really dumb talk her. My father died after 38 years of marriage and after three days my Mother had to go back to work and held her head up and went back to work. As she said, "life goes on and what's in the heart stays in the heart." Just maybe Lea Michele is a typically strong individual facing life on life's terms.
