Listen To This: Take Us To Jamaica!

| Filed under: Listen To ThisFrancophiliaStromae

We have no idea what Papaoutai means, and we don't care! We LOVE it!

The French-language song by Belgian-rapper Stromae is soooo fab!

We are big fans of Stromae and this song is unlike anything he's ever done before! It's got a Caribbean vibe with hints of dance and electro.

It's something Diplo would make!

Check out the fierceness above!

Stromae is a huge star in our country Belgium. till now he's multi awarded at NRJ's Music Awards, at Belgians Mia's Awards (Music industry awards) where he collected 8out of 9 awards, and recently 3 out 4 at Les Victoires de la Musique (Music's Victories) He's a gifted musician, mixing a lot of different styles. He's able tu make people dance with melancoly lyrics. Papaoutai, is the search of a missing father.. "Formidable (un never seen before clip) about a break-up..a nd last but not least Tous les mêmes about problems in a couple..not to speak, his former Album "Laors On danse" about a man facing drinking problems… Un great artist. And you know what? He is is own designer, and the logo you'll find on his clothes, are all his too.

He lost his dad in the rwanda genocide. It follows him even in his musicial career and it inspired him for (some of) the songs he writes.
