Amanda Bynes Told To Put Down The Backpack & Head Back Into Rehab By Her Doctors?!

Wait a minute, hold the phone!

Amanda Bynes just got out of rehab, is back spending time with her loving family and friends and now her doctors are saying she should go back?

What gives?!

A source is claiming that Amanda's doctors are saying her return to school is a little too soon for the actress.

They spilled:

“Amanda was told by her doctors that going to fashion school, so soon after being released from The Canyons, … [is] an absolutely terrible idea for [her] to do at this time — it’s almost setting her up for failure,” the source said. “There will be pressure on Amanda as far as school work, deadlines, and it’s unlikely she will be able to succeed.

The fashion school she is enrolled in is almost two hours from her parents’ house in Orange County, and she still doesn’t have a valid driver’s license."

True, she doesn't have a valid driver's license, but isn't she going to be escorted to and from her classes?

So…if she has escorts, they'll be able to drive her? But we will admit, two hours is a long drive for school!

The source also acknowledged that Mandy is still seeing her doctors for therapy, saying:

“Yes, she is still seeing her doctors on an outpatient basis, but this is all happening way too fast and too soon. Amanda should be eased back into her life in a controlled manner, because she is dealing with a very serious health diagnosis. Why does she need to enroll now in school? It would be ideal if she waited six months to a year.”

Okay, to be honest, we were a little shocked when we saw that she was enrolled and ready to go at FIDM.

Maybe Mandy just thinks she's up for the challenge and is ready to dive back into society!

And the drama continues…

She just wants to be busy and not to think in her problems. It's better being busy with school tan with drugs. Having a ton of free time can be way worse for a former addict. If she wants to "escape" with school, I don't see what's sooo wrong.

I think she is seriously ill. A few weeks can't fix that. She may have to be on permanate lock down like Britney Spears.l

Makes sense. School is a big commitment, it seems a little early for her to jump back into something like that so soon.

She has to walk before she runs. I can totally understand this. There is time. I hope she takes it.

This is definitely true. Even if this person has never met her, I can guaran-damn-tee you that her doctor's are telling her school is a bad choice. When you go to rehab for drugs alone they tell you not to do (pretty much) anything for at least 6 mos to a year while you integrate back into society. And she has a serious mental illness (she may also have addiction issues, but that's not what I ever got from her, I think it's solely mental health issues). They recommend focusing just on your health by attending all outpatient sessions, going to step meetings or support groups, and then using the rest of your free time by SLOWLY integrating back into society. For example, joining clubs, exercising, doing volunteer work or getting a VERY SIMPLE part time job with very minimal responsibility - even that, they tell you to wait on the job if you're able to (aka if you have other means to support yourself, which she does). That way if you miss it or get sick again, it doesn't totally derail you again, mess up your life and affect those who are depending on you. The last thing she needs is to get a bad grade or something that could set her off. She should be volunteering, exercising lightly, and things like that. Just things that can ONLY help her, and not possibly hurt her. She's been through a lot this year - she's making a big mistake in thinking she can dive right back into a "normal" life. I wish her the best - but school at this time worries me.

Re: ÑeñeAntigüedadNickW – Drugs are NOT her problem. But by reading your comment, I can see that you have little or no experience with dealing with people with mental health problems or addiction… especially as you think addiction is her problem which it CLEARLY was not. She was manic (maybe pushing all the way to schizophrenic). Yes, this girl smoked pot - aka - no big deal for someone who is mentally fit. But any drug use was probably a result of her mania anyway. So, what's SOOOO wrong school is that she clearly had a manic break that lasted the better part of a year. She shouldn't be committing herself to anything past what she's having for dinner. No joke - in her case, you need to live day to day - truly. That's rule #1 for addicts too though, so like I said, you probably have no experience with either. She needs to focus on each day individually. And anyway, her signing up for school the day she got out of the hospital, in itself, seems like a decision made by a manic person. Red flags are going up all over, for me anyway.

I went through a similar situation, only I'm not famous or rich and none of the doctors gave a flying fuck about me so no one told me not to enroll in school after I got out of the hospital and it was a mistake. I ended up back in the hospital. There shouldn't be articles written about this stuff since it's her real life and she's not even doing anything to stay relevant. You should stop posting about her so she doesn't have to worry about this shit too, but yeah I hope someone actually is saying something to her instead of just posting articles about it cause no one said anything to me and to this day idk what to do with my life.
