It looks like Katy Perry is taking a few pages out of Taylor Swift's song book!

There's no doubt that Prism has a different, more mature sound than Katy's candy-coated Teenage Dream album!

The Unconditionally singer has been receiving positive feedback on Prism and she revealed her secret trick to becoming more relatable!

Katy dished:

"I feel like my secret magic trick that separates me from a lot of my peers is the bravery to be vulnerable and truthful and honest. I think you become more relatable when you're vulnerable. When you try to market yourself like some supernatural figurine who can't be f*cked with, I always resort back to Scripture: 'Pride comes before a fall.'"

Ooh, la la!

Katy is obvi still that sassy frass we all know and love! LOLz!

When she made that musical switch, the Roar singer knew Prism would have a totes different sound.

KatyKat said:

"I thought it was going to be a lot darker - acoustic or Fiona Apple-y. You know, a 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' vibe."

Well, we guess the album isn't AS dark as she thought it would be, but does that make it any less amazeballs??

Definitely not! We absolutely, unconditionally love this soul-baring, heart-wrenching side to Katy!!

I liked how in Katy's concert movie "Part of Me" she was so laid back and down to earth meeting backstage with her fans. She was very nice, friendly and approachable by her fans … especially the younger ones. I bet when people meet Katy the first time she seems like just a regular girl. She's just a girl who chased her music dreams and now she's a bigtime pop star who still has some difficulty adjusting to her new life in the spotlight.

Katy is smart to be conscious of the tendency of pop stars and Hollywood stars to get a "big head" and think that they gods who should be fawned over and given whatever they want all the time. Fans sure don't like those conceited, arrogant and entitled celebrities who think they are soo superior to everyone else.

teenage dream - 100% kiddie music. prism - 95% kiddie music. there has been no growth in between these two albums, prism's theme is regurgitated 90's pop music.

Can't wait for the album after John Mayer dumps her. Bitch seem to seek out the worst men so she can make albums to bitch about her failed relationships.

When music is down to 5 people something is wrong, and needs changing - PH support the thousands of musicians outside the 5 corporate stars.

Music and the music business, has been reduced to 5. These 5 get more media attention than all the other musicians in the world, combined. Corporate music has marginalize the best of the rest into footnotes. It has been decreed by the suits that you will not have any real career in music unless you are Beyonce, Beiber, Gaga, Perry, or Swift. (and maybe runnerups 1D, JT, and Miley).

Hunkasuarus = One standard guitar, one voice, and one revolution.

Never in history have 5 musicians got more press than all the rest. Never in history has the music business been mostly 4 companies. Never in history has the major media companies owned the music companies too. Now that's music news every media should be covering!
